Lost Gold & Diamonds Wedding Band at Queens Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I woke up to an email request to hunt for a ring at Waikiki at 515 PM that evening when the couple returns from a Sight seeing tour around Oahu. I immediately left a voicemail to call me ASAP as it is well known Waikiki is heavily detected and it appeared the ring was lost in waist deep water in the protected area. I received a call about 30 minutes later as I was about to leave. Aneesh & Archana from India and on their honeymoon were at the beach the previous evening when Aneesh’s wedding band went missing. He wasn’t exactly sure when it came off but thankfully they didn’t travel too far along the beach when they discovered it missing. Also the ring would be in the unprotected area and that area doesn’t get detected as heavily as the others. After they gave me a few more data points I decided I would hunt their ring first thing that morning before other detectorists came around. As I was proceeding to Waikiki I got a call from Archana asking if I could meet them that morning and I told her I was almost there already. We met at the Kapahulu Beach Wall and they proceeded to help me mark the extreme ends of the search grid. I started at the westward end and entered the water. I was immediately met by surf that was crashing the shoreline from my knees to my neck in height. It was a high tide. The sand area here only goes out 20 feet before hitting solid reef so I was hoping the ring fell off in the sand near shore. I immediately found two quarters and was getting tossed about with each wave. I was about to go ashore and tell Aneesh I needed to wait until low tide as I couldn’t stay stable and hunt. On this first leg and on the way in I got a nice tone but I was getting pushed around it took at least 8 attempts with my scoop to retrieve the target. When I looked in the scoop there was a gorgeous gold ring with four diamonds just as Aneesh described. I walked up onto the beach where Archana and Aneesh were waiting and held out my scoop and asked, « Is that your ring because if it isn’t I need to wait awhile before going back in to hunt? » The look of joy came over their faces as they exclaimed, « That’s it! » It had to be divine intervention to find the ring at the extreme edge of the grid and thankfully I started on the westward end otherwise it would have been a very long day. Mans Gold And Diamond Ring Lost/Found Rehoboth Beach Delaware

On 01/28/17, I received a phone call from Bob regarding the loss of his Gold and Diamond ring that was lost in the dry sand on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Bob said that on the evening of 01/27/17, he was on the beach feeding the seagulls. Bob said that his ring was loose and that at one point while throwing food into the air for the birds his ring came off of his finger and landed in the sand. Bob said that he tried looking for the ring with a rake and that he was unable to find the ring. Bob asked if I could help him and I agreed to meet him at the beach to search for the ring. Upon meeting Bob at the beach, he showed me the area where he had lost his ring which was also marked by rake marks in the dry sand. I began a grid search of the area and after about five passes I located the ring and returned it to Bob who was very happy to have his property returned. The ring was very special to Bob because he had given it to himself as a retirement gift after he retired from a job in public service.

Lost Gold Wedding Bands at Aulani Disney Resort Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a lunch time call from Kristen from Beach Recreation at Aulani Disney Resort. She told me a couple lost their ring on the beach in dry sand and she was going to give them my information to reach out to me if they required my services. After arriving home from work I got a call from Ben on vacation from Alberta, Canada. We had a storm coming in this evening so I wanted to get there before it arrived. Waiting until morning could have been painful for me and them. I got through rush hour traffic fairly quick and met Ben on the beach an hour later. He explained while his wife Chelsea was applying sunscreen to their children she set her rings on a towel and when she grabbed the towel afterwards she realized the rings had fallen somewhere around their lounge chairs. They sifted through the sand for a few hours but never found any of the missing four rings. Ben and I moved the metal chairs out of the way and I started a grid search. After finding 17 cents I got a really nice tone and after two scoops I looked into my scoop and there were 3 white gold rings one with a hefty diamond. Ben was surprised and said « Wow »! Those are the three primary rings and he was just so relieved they were found. I scanned the hole again and there was a faint target. Another scoop down and the fourth and final ring was in the scoop. Ben said his wife Chelsea was very distraught after losing her rings and this was going to make their vacation. We took a few pics and Ben thanked me again. Another vacation saved! Aloha to Ben & Chelsea!

Lost Diamond Ring Found in Cumberland RI

On February 25th, I received a somewhat frantic call from Lisa.  Her custom-made diamond wedding ring-band had been missing for two weeks.  It was last seen in a bathroom drawer in their house, and Lisa and her husband had been combing the house since that time.  They assumed that their two-year old son had hidden the ring somewhere in the house or that he may have thrown it out of an open second-story window in his room.  Lisa had learned of The Ring Finders from a friend and asked for my help with the search.  I covered the area in the backyard directly under the window without any success.  I also suggested that the ring may have landed on an eave or its gutter just below the second floor windows but would have needed a ladder of over twenty-feet to reach the area.  We moved our search into the house, trying to imagine where a toddler would hide a ring.  After searching through closets, drawers, under furniture, etc., I saw her son trying to stuff something through a small space in his parents’ bedroom window and suggested that he may have done the same with her ring.  We opened the bedroom window, and Lisa hung out the window to check the eave and gutter, while I made sure that she didn’t fall out.  She was shocked and ecstatic to find her ring on the eave right under the window.

I was contacted Matt regarding a lost diamond and platinum earring in the backyard of his residence in Houston, Texas. Matt reported the  diamond-platinum earring was lost in the grass in his backyard while doing a little cleaning yesterday afternoon.

Lost Ring Found in Shallow Water of Mauna Kea Hotel, Big Island, Hawaii

A happy Kyle reunited with his wedding ring – found and returned at Mauna Kea Resort and Spa, Big Island, Hawaii, by Big Island Metal Detecting

BIMD was so happy to have helped Kyle and Nicole find Kyle’s lost wedding ring.
I went out to the Mauna Kea Hotel look for Kyle’s lost titanium wedding ring in the shallow, small bay in front of the hotel.
Kyle had taken off his ring and applied sunscreen, then instead of putting back on his finger, tied the ring onto a piece of cord in his swimming trunk’s cargo pocket.
As he waded into waist-deep water, he suddenly realized he’d left his iPhone in his pocket and rushed back towards the shore pulling his phone out to get it out of the saltwater.
It must have been around there that the ring was also lost having come undone from the string, he surmised.
When I arrived Kyle, Nicole and their friends were entrenched on a group of beach chairs near the water. Kyle went into the water to show me the general area in the bay where he’d pulled out his iPhone.
I searched the waist deep water for about an hour or more. Dusk was approaching and the winds had picked up. One of Kyle’s friends came out and pointed to a different area, still waist deep, where he thought Kyle had been.
Kyle had been searching the bay with his mask and snorkel as I’d hunted with the detector. As he left to dry off, I followed him out of the water and again asked about the direction he’d taken as he’d exited the water with his wet iPhone in hand.
Standing in about 2 inches of water, he pointed from where I’d been up to the chairs where his friends and Nicole were. As he headed up the beach I turned back towards the water and – bang – there was a signal blasting through the headphones that had hardly sounded a blip in the past hour-and-a-half. « Wait! » I called after him – and dug, dug and dug until I had the target in my scoop.
Eight inches down thru the sand, just in two inches of water, came out Kyle’s ring!
The ring must have come loose – as thought – when he’d reached in his pocket to save his mobile phone – and hadn’t gone spilling out in the water after all – but had come out as he’d run up and out of the water.
Happy to have recovered Kyle and Nicole’s lost treasure in ankle deep water – even though their memories were ‘deeper’.

Lost Ring On Bellingham Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Got a call from a gal who lost her ring while walking on an elevated path over the water at Boulevard Park in Bellingham Washington. It was a simple gold band but it was a family heirloom that had been passed down to her. She was messing with it as they were walking and off it went, ping onto the concrete path, then a second sound as it went down the side and into the water. We scheduled a meet at low tide, which aren’t very low this time of year. Brought all my water gear prepared to get wet. When I arrived she was on the beach in her rubber boots. After introductions we talked about what had happened and how it went down. The water below the bridge was approximately 6′ feet deep still so I was looking at a very difficult situation as the bottom was rocky with medium size stones. The conditions were not great and there was some chop and small swells. I was debating whether to even attempt it.

But first I wanted to go up on the pathway and get a view from there. The water was crystal clear and I thought coming at night with calm water with a flashlight might spot a glint and get an exact location to make the dive a bit easier. She had marked where it went off and I wanted to recreate the scene. So you were walking in this direction about here, it fell off and you heard it, and saw it hit the concrete, then go through the railing and heard a second sound that came from the side of the bridge. It went through right next to one of the railing posts. The posts were about six feet apart so based on where she had marked it we narrowed it down to two posts. Again the water was very clear, so I began looking for any type of reflection, then BAM I spotted it. Caught on the side of the bridge on a small ledge behind the post in a small space. It was standing on edge leaning against an I-beam ready to fall off. A gust of wind could have easily knocked it off into he water. The space was so small I could not fit my hand into it and you could only see it by looking over the railing but to reach it you had to reach through the bottom of the railing. Well I became the eyes and she the grabber, as she reached her small hand down, I guided her vocally, to where she could insert her finger into the ring to keep it from dropping. She pulled it up and held it in her fist in a sort of state of shock.

It was an amazing find! I was looking at one of the most difficult hunts that quickly turned into the easiest. Never even got a detector out 🙁  Always, ALWAYS, recreate the moment and rule out all possibilities before taking a plunge into troubled waters!

White Gold Wedding Ring Found, Industrial Park Leduc, Alberta

Received a call last evening from Brad told me he lost his wedding band at work while hooking up to a trailer in the yard! And could I possibly help him find the ring. 

Meet Brad within one hour he showed me where his ring could possibly be? Brad explained to me how he lost his ring? he took his ring off and put the ring in his pocket while he was working also in his pocket was his truck keys and when he took the keys out to move the truck the ring must have fallen out? That narrowed the search to two possible areas approximately 20′ x 40′ each.  Since the temperature has been above Zero for the past week the yard was full of mud and a lot of metal pieces scattered all over the yard? This been said it was going to be a real challenge to locate the ring?  Brad did his best to try and find the ring with no luck at all.

Within 30 minutes of the search I found the ring buried in mud I called Brad over and asked him was that his ring in the mud he was over the moon to have his ring back on his finger Brad didn’t believe he would ever see his ring again, Another happy client!  Thank you Brad for entrusting me to finding your ring.

Sleepless in Allendale, Michigan over lost ring.

My hunting partner and fellow ringfinder, Gregg Larabel, received a call from Cindy S. saying she lost her ring in her bedroom and they could not find it.  Gregg and I showed up at her house after she got off work and met her husband, Paul, and Liz the family dog, then received the story of the lost ring.  Cindy and Paul were just waking up on Saturday morning and Cindy took off her three rings to apply hand lotion and handed them to Paul to put on his pinky finger for safe keeping.  He laid the rings on the bed for a moment before he decided that wasn’t a good idea, and handed them back to Cindy to put on the night stand.   Cindy took the rings without really looking at them and put them on the night stand.  She realized the wedding band was missing when she went to put them back on.   They searched the bedroom for hours without finding the lost wedding ring, and, deciding it was unlikely the cat ate it, Cindy got on the internet and found TheRingFinders.com.   Gregg and I decided to start the search in the bedroom, and with the help of Paul and Cindy we dismantled the bed and searched everywhere in, around, and under the bed.  No luck.  I then started to look next to the dresser at the foot of the bed and after moving a small pillow on the floor and with the help of a flashlight I saw the glint of the white gold ring hiding in the pile of the carpet.   How the ring got way over to that side of the room is the real mystery but we were all happy to see it back on Cindy’s finger.

Found Keys In Burlington VT

This is my Winter for finding keys for people!
Got a call last night from a woman in Burlington who had lost keys to both their cars and the house. She was shoveling after a huge snowstorm and later realized her keys were missing. She searched all her pockets, the car, all through the house and in the snow as much as she could. I went up tonight after work and began by surface scanning all the snowbanks, and got no good signals. Then I got out my all-plastic shovel and we started digging through all the snow piles. She would dig and I would scan each shovel full. After about an hour, I could sense that she was getting discouraged and getting a sore back. So, I started digging, and she scanned. We were nearing the end of digging out all the piles when we found the keys. What a scream of relief! Those keys were going to cost a bunch of money. Now they have around $800 to spend on their 3 year old daughter, instead of buying 2 car keys!
Another awesome search ending!
