Jason called after having lost his wedding ring in the backyard, and looking for it unsuccessfully. He had been playing soccer with his child, when a kick from the young one caused the ball to hit his left had with enough force to dislodge his ring, and it was gone. We arranged a time to meet, and I was off to do the search.

When I got to Jason’s house he met me, and took me out to their backyard. He showed me where he had been standing, and what had happened to cause the loss of his ring. He was facing out to defend the goal from his child, so the obvious possible area of the loss was to be center to left of the goal. I searched slowly and diligently to make sure I was not missing anything with no luck in those areas. I then searched out in front of the goal, still no luck. Now to search out of the box searching to the right of the goal. It was 15 feet to the right, and 15 feet forward of the goal that I found the ring. This is why we as Ring Finders are so successful, because we know that a lot of times the ring we are looking for is not always where it should be, and we are not afraid to look out of the box to make a recovery.
