I received a call from John asking for my help.  He had lost his wedding band while swimming in the ocean in Westerly, RI. He and his wife live in NJ and were on vacation at a beach house with family. John told me that the day before there were big waves, and he felt his ring fall off in the water.  The tide was coming in, but I was willing to give it a shot.  After searching for a couple hours without any luck, I decided to return the next day at low tide.  The following day, I searched in the water and still didn’t have any luck finding the ring. I decided to search the beach and found John’s ring buried in the sand.  He couldn’t believe that I found his ring and was so happy to have it back.

I received a call from Jake, who lost his wedding ring on the beach the day before while vacationing with his wife.  The couple is from out of town and planned to leave the next day. They had only been married eight months.  He was frantic to find his ring and asked for my help.  I asked a friend to help with the search for Jake’s ring.  We searched the beach area, where Jake and his wife were, for about two hours and couldn’t find the ring.  My friend had to leave, but I didn’t stop searching.  Jake said that he was carrying chairs and other things to the beach so I searched the area where you enter the beach….still no luck.  Jake thanked me for trying and left the beach.  I persisted and did a grid search of the large area where you enter the beach.  In the third row of the grid, I found Jake’s ring and was excited to call him with the good news.  He was still in the parking lot and rushed back to the beach.  Jake couldn’t believe that I found his ring.  He was ecstatic!

I received a call from Steven who lost his wedding ring while doing yard work.  He asked for my help and identified where he had been working in the yard.  Coincidentally, he connected with me through his future daughter in law, a former co-worker of my wife.  She knew that I was a member of The Ring Finders (TheRingFinders.com) and could help him.  Steven and his wife thought the ring was lost forever until their future daughter in law told them about my services and were convinced that they would have to buy another ring. I went to their home and found Steven’s ring and in about twenty minutes.  He was very happy to have his ring back.

On November 15, 2023, I received a call from Allison, who lost a beautiful onyx pendant while visiting Chase Farm in Lincoln.  She decided to search the internet for help and found my information.  She asked for my help to find her lost pendant.  The next day, I met her at the farm where she had lost the pendant.  It was a large area.  Allison told me that her chain broke and showed me two different areas of the farm where the pendant could be. I search the first area and didn’t find the pendant.  After searching the second area with no success, I started thinking that someone may have found it already.  That’s when I decided to expand the search beyond these two areas, and I found the pendant.  Frequently, lost items are not in the area where you think they are lost, and you have to search outside the box.  It’s a good thing I did.  As you can see, Allison was delighted to have the pendant back.

I received a call from Dick, who told me he had lost his gold wedding band while doing some work in his yard.  The ring was lost while he was putting up a temporary fence around an area of the lawn that had just been seeded in order to keep their sweet dog out of the area.  After the fence was installed, Dick realized that he had lost his wedding ring in the process.  He decided to search the internet for help, and that’s when he found me.  When I arrived at Dick’s house, he showed me the area where he had installed the fence.  I searched the area for about an hour and found Dick’s ring.  He couldn’t believe that it had been recovered.  Dick, and his wife of over 40 years, were very happy that the ring was back on his hand where it belonged.

While on another search at an ocean beach on Block Island, a young girl approached me to ask for my help.  She explained that her dad, Marty, had just lost his wedding ring while boogie boarding with his kids.  He rode a wave and felt the ring fall off in the water near shore.  I interrupted the other search to look for the ring.  It took thirty minutes to find it in the sand near shore.  Marty and his wife were thrilled.  They felt so blessed that I happened to be there when they needed my help. You see, this was not just any ordinary wedding ring.  It had belonged to his wife’s grandfather, George, who passed away in 2019.  The ring was gifted to Marty because he married the eldest granddaughter and was very close to George.  Marty’s ring is now with his wife for safe keeping until it can be resized!

Brandi contacted me on 8/1/2023 to ask for my help.  She was referred to me by Wayne, a friend and experienced metal detecting enthusiast.  Brandi’s husband, Iving, had lost a man’s gold chain on which hung a woman’s gold wedding ring.  These items held much sentimental value to Irving, as well as his sister Nancy, as they were gifts from their dad and mom, who had passed away.  The chain with ring came off when Irving was diving into the ocean at a beach on Block Island on 7/28/2023.  They hired someone to look for the item and even went back to Block Island to search themselves but were unsuccessful.  I knew I had to get out there as soon as possible to search for the item, so I headed out to Block Island the next day.  After searching in the water for two and a half hours, I found the chain with ring still securely attached.  I called Brandi from the beach to give her the good news…she was so excited.  Brandi and Irving, as well as his sister Nancy and her partner Manny, came to my home to retrieve the item.  They were very emotional when I returned the chain with ring.  What a touching moment when Irving put it back on his neck.  My wife and I felt an instant connection to this beautiful family.

Jim and Lisa rented a beach house on the private section of Charlestown Beach.  While enjoying the beach, Lisa removed her platinum diamond wedding band to apply sunscreen but didn’t put the ring back on her finger.  A half hour later, she realized that it was missing and had gotten buried in the beach sand.  Jim called to ask for my help with finding the ring. I searched the beach for about 20 minutes before locating her ring.  They were so excited and appreciative!

In the summer, I received a call from Matthew, who lost his wedding ring while playing catch with his young daughter.  He threw the ball in the air, and his ring went with it.  After searching the entire backyard unsuccessfully, he decided to consult the internet for help and found the Ring Finders website. I searched for over 4 hours without any luck. I promised Matt that I would return the next day to continue the search, which was tough due to lots of rocks and brush.  After 2 hours, I located his ring.  I almost gave up, but I’m glad I didn’t.  As you can tell, Matt was very happy to get his ring back.

On June 5, I received a call from Sarah, requesting help to find a ring she had lost in her yard. When I arrived, she explained that the ring was her father’s ring and that he passed away recently.  She had his ring on her thumb and was doing some yard work.  When she noticed that the ring was missing, she called a friend, who I had helped to find a ring a couple of years ago.  The friend recommended that Sarah call me. I searched her yard and was concerned, because it was getting dark.  After 45 minutes of searching, I located the ring.  She was so happy to have her father’s ring back, and I was excited to be able to reunite her with this precious item.
