Campbell had gotten married just a few months earlier and as a lot of young men love to do…he enjoys sports and one of his favorites is flag football. And another thing that young married men like to do is wear their wedding ring all the time. So when I received his call about needing my help to find his lost wedding ring I knew that normally these kinds of searches can take a long time…because of having to cover such a large area. The first thing we did was to contact the park authorities to get the proper permission and the gentleman we talked to was very helpful and even offered to help us look the field over. It was a very well maintained field with short grass and it was only a matter of minutes before Campbell’s lost ring was found!

Rather than trying to rent a metal detector why not contact the best metal detecting service in Orlando and the Central Florida area and call theringfinders.com. Look in the directory for a metal detecting specialist near you and give us a chance to help you.

Call or text ASAP anytime and let’s talk!

We met 22 years later and have been together ever since. On the evening of our anniversary dinner I presented my husband with both our wedding rings…which had disappeared in our own home in separate places and had been missing for a few years. On the way home from dinner I couldn’t stop playing with my newly found ring and it popped out of my hand. I heard a clank and once again there it went, gone… I thought to be forever. We searched everywhere in the car but it had simply vanished. Enter Mike McInroe! A living, breathing Angel! He searched in the car and under my passenger car seat for over two hours: never loosing patience, hope or faith in himself. Suddenly my husband and Mike came inside and my husband presented me with my ring by placing it on my finger and once again I turned to thank Mike and he had the biggest, most beautiful smile on his face. I know that he was just as overjoyed as my husband and I. I believe you can put a smile on someone’s face, but a true talent is putting a smile in someone’s heart! Many thanks and blessings Mike,

Randy called me after losing one of his very expensive hearing aids. Apparently while out walking his dog…along came one of his neighbors with their own dog and the two dogs got into it! In the midst of the chaos Randy felt one of his hearing aids come off of his ear and he tried to reach for it but it fell into the darkness and landed somewhere in the short brown grass. The next day I met Randy and he showed me the area where he lost his hearing aid. I set out four plastic cones and began my systematic grid search…overlapping on each pass to be sure I would not miss such a small target. (Randy had his other hearing aid and my metal detector was able to get a decent signal off of it so I had a really good idea of what sort of signal and the exact numbers to concentrate on…which really helped allot!) About 20 minutes later I got the signal I was looking for and I called Randy over and let him retrieve his lost hearing aid.

Albert and his girl friend were finishing eating some fast food and as they were heading back to their hotel for the night Albert decided to throw a small piece of trash out of the sun roof and as he let fly the trash object he felt his heavy gold and diamond ring fly off of his finger as well and a slight click was heard. Immediately he pulled his truck to the side of the road and they began scanning the grass and roadside with the lights on their phones! It was 2:30am and after an hour or so of desperate searching they became very frustrated and upset…especially Albert because this was a very special and expensive ring. They called me the next day and I met them at the location and I searched high and low but could not locate his lost ring. I asked Albert if he had searched inside his truck and he assured me that he had. After an hour and a half I mentioned again that there was a good possibility that his ring could have fallen inside his truck somewhere. Albert had searched the inside but only quickly the night before and so another search was done in the daylight and to his great surprise there it was tucked down in a corner safe and sound! Albert was thrilled and so happy to have his lost ring back once again and was all smiles!

Lost diamond stud ear ring, Orlando Florida…found by metal detectorist!

David’s wife was dropping their young daughter off at school and as she bent down to give her a kiss her diamond stud ear ring got tangled up in her daughter’s hair! It dropped somewhere either into the grass or onto her daughter’s backpack or on the sidewalk. After a frantic search someone suggested she call one of The Ring Finders! I met David and conducted an extensive search but my metal detector only picked up lots of small pieces of aluminum and a ton of small trash items. My last look over the sidewalk revealed where her lost diamond stud ear ring was hiding…and it was in one of the joints of the sidewalk and it was almost impossible to see! But thankfully it was found and returned to a very grateful young couple. I breathed a silent prayer of thanksgiving as I drove home!

Eileen called me and asked if I could help her find a lost Mercedes Benz vehicle fob/key and she was quite sure it was somewhere in one of two cars. Apparently she had unloaded some things from one car to another and in the process she misplaced the only fob/key that she had for her older Mercedes. She looked numerous times through the car, her purse, the trunk, under the seats and everywhere she could possibly imagine…but she could not find her lost key. When she called me I could hear the stress and discouragement in her voice and I assured her I would come out and conduct a thorough search of both vehicles. I arrived Saturday morning and got right to work going through both cars with a fine tooth comb and my extra strong flashlight. After 40 minutes…NOTHING! Eileen thought that maybe someone walked by while she was moving things back and forth and possibly picked her key up off of the ground. Or maybe a crow picked it up and flew off with it! As a final effort was made to locate her lost key I sat in her older vehicles driver seat and reached up and moved the double sun visors that covered the front window and I noticed something moved…right where the two visors overlap…and sure enough there was her fob…nestled down between the two visors. The fob/key was hidden in the perfect hiding place…not visible from either side! Eileen was over joyed and how I thank God for helping me to be able to find her lost key!

Zack could not find his wedding ring and tried looking with a rented metal detector and still come up empty handed. He was 99% sure he lost it in his yard somewhere while doing yard work earlier that day. He had planted some small ornamental bushes and laid down new mulch and even had about 10 medium bags of left over dirt that he wanted to dispose of later but the thought of his ring being out in his yard somewhere made him quite anxious. Later that evening Zack went online and found theringfinders.com and gave me a call. I met him the next day and decided to start my search exactly where he started working the day before. His yard and newly planted bushes were neat and tidy and as I moved on to the 2nd area I noticed he had laid out the bags of extra dirt on the brick driveway so I decided to scan them. Each bag was tied up and on the last bag I got a faint signal. I flipped the bag over and immediately got a solid gold like signal and it was only a matter of sticking my pin pointer into the dirt and the picture shows what was hidden inside. Zack was thrilled and could not believe what just happened.

Mr John had recently lost some weight and his platinum wedding ring was needing some resizing…so off to the jeweler they went. When they got home, Mr John thought he had enough time to mow one half of the front yard so he uncovered his riding mower and started cutting. There are a couple of areas where the tree branches hang down really close to the ground and as he mowed he had to push the branches aside. An hour later, while getting a drink, he noticed his wedding ring was not on his finger and the most obvious thing he could think of was that it must have come off while he was mowing! For two days he and his wife would walk through the yard with flashlights at night or during high noon when the sun was directly overhead with hopes of spotting his lost ring. For 46 years John and his wife have been married and the thought of never seeing his ring again was very troubling. Thinking there had to be some kind of service that involved a metal detector, he went online and found theringfinders.com and one of my stories. I agreed to come out and look at John’s yard and realized right away that this would be no easy task…because John’s yard was VERY LARGE! As I listened to John explain his routine when mowing I saw the low hanging branches and figured I would check those areas first off and BINGO! On the 2nd area I heard the sweet sound of gold and saw the glint of shiny Platinum! As John bent down to retrieve his once lost and now found wedding ring…I noticed a few tears welling up in his eyes and I could not help but feel a twinge of the same emotions in my own heart! John was so happy and the relief was obvious!

How to find lost rings in the grass with a metal detector, Ocala Florida!

This search and recovery came to me as a result of a family dispute. Sometimes rings, phones, key fobs and other items are deliberately thrown and most often we are called to come out and try to help locate these thrown items for either the one who threw them or for someone else who has a vested interest…say like a husband or wife, or a boyfriend or…I think you get the idea!

Andi called me and explained that she needed help finding her engagement and wedding rings somewhere in their yard. Apparently she had gone out and rented a metal detector and tried using it for an hour or two and ended up digging a bunch of holes plus her husband had spent 3 hours searching the yard as well and …Nothing! When I arrived the next day I got my Deus 2 metal detector and started doing my usual overlapping grid search of the area where Andi said she threw her rings. There were holes here and there and pull tabs and bits of aluminum scattered every where. Experience has taught me that most often items originally are thrown harder, further and with more intensity than one might think. And this proved true in Andi’s situation. At least 45 feet out I got a good repeatable signal reading « 49 » and then about two feet away another similar signal! I called Andi out and as I showed her what I found she just buried her face in her hands and quietly wept. The relief and consolation and comfort overwhelmed her heart and it was a thrill to see.

Lost wedding ring in Hart Springs, Bell, Florida found by Florida ring finder Mike McInroe

Alexis and her husband were enjoying a fun day at Hart Springs and after jumping off of the high platform two times he realized that he still had his wedding ring on and it was feeling just a bit loose. Alexis was standing behind the railing by the edge of the jumping platform when he removed his wedding ring and handed it to Alexis for safe keeping and she slid it onto her index finger thinking it would be fine. But her husband thought it needed to be put on her middle finger so as she attempted to remove his ring from her index finger it all of a sudden popped off and dropped into the water below sinking straight way to the bottom of the spring. Alexis and her husband were stunned and after a few minutes they attempted to dive down and retrieve their now « lost ring »! It was close to 14 feet deep and their attempts were futile which made the situation even more intense…especially since they were just married not even two months ago! Alexis went online and found theringfinders.com and in the « Directory » noticed that there was no one else closer to Hart Springs that could help her and figured that maybe I could…being as I was scuba certified and in the Orlando area…145 miles away!! But when Alexis told me what happened and described how they saw exactly where the ring hit the water…I knew that there was a very, very high likelihood of being able to recover it and so we made plans to meet the next day. My dear wife accompanied me early the next morning and two and a half hours later and in a slight drizzle we met Alexis and she showed us the platform and it didn’t take me long to set up my scuba tank, 50 foot hose and diving gear and down into the water I went. I carefully grid searched a 10X20 foot area and found two rings and other items and thankfully one of the rings was Alexis’s husbands ring and to say she was relieved and thrilled…was a bit of an under statement! Come to find out Alexis’s husbands birthday was on this very day and she wanted to be able to surprise him with his « lost » ring and she told me later that it was amazing! How I thank God for allowing me to be used to be a help and a blessing to this dear young couple!
