I received an email from Lisa today stating that she had lost a ring on the beach in Santa Monica last night, and was unable to find it. I got back with her right away, and we arranged to meet at the location, so she could show me where she believed it was lost. I started a grid search, and found the beach loaded with tent stakes, bottle caps, and pull tabs, as well as some coin drops. Although disconcerting to have all of this in the sand, I knew there was a good chance of finding Lisa’s ring because I could tell the beach cleaners and metal detectorists had not been through the area. Lisa had to leave after about an hour, and I told her that I would keep going, because I had not gone over all the possibilities in the sand at that time. Well a few hours later, and a bit of perseverance paid off with another addition for the book of smiles. After getting the ring back to her, she told me that the ring had belonged to her mother, so it held a strong personal significance to her.
If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search, Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.
Way to help continue the story Steve! Great find and way to stick with it…Happy Hunting, Chris Turner
Thanks Chris, it is great to now be a part of the story.
Always good to hear the success stories. Keep it up.
Thanks Larry.
CALL STEVE SMITH!!!!! I lost my wedding band last month while swimming. I completely forgot to take off my band before getting into the water. I lost it in the ocean and Steven was so determined to help find it. He spent half of the day in and out of the water searching and even returned in the middle of the night from 12am to 4am looking for my ring. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to locate it but at the end of the day he didn’t give up easy. Chances are the ring got deep into the soft wet sand. Also, I didn’t call til the second day when my husband found the ringfinders online. I highly recommend Steve. He is such a kind and selfless person. There aren’t many people around like Steve these days. I trust he did all that he could. He undoubtedly cares to help and we are fortunate enough to have met such a kind and helpful person. I know I may never find my TACORI ring and i will never forget it and hate to have to learn the hard way sometimes, but with all of this I could also say I am thankful for and will never forget Steve Smith and his willingness to help and all the hours he put into searching for my ring. The ring finders needs to have a show, so amazing and helpful!
Thank you Sara and Omar for such a generous post.
I am so grateful for the Steve Smith and all his help to try and find my wife’s ring. My wife lost her band and luckily we called Steve, who searched so thoroughly. He put in such great effort, I am sure if we called sooner and didn’t lose it while in the water where there is such soft sand it would have turned up. Steve has the best of the best equipment. If you ever lose something, he is definitely the guy to call. Thank you STEVE!!!!
Thank you Omar, it was my pleasure to help.
