Lost Electric Fence Dog Collar on Large Property in Erin, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Long time Family Friend’s Daughter Emily reached out to me as her beautiful Doberman ‘Luna’ lost an expensive electric fence collar somewhere on the large property.

I met Emily after work on a rainy day and we re-traced her steps.

After an hour we start in behind the home and on the back ridge and Emily spotted the collar laying on the ground.

Always happy to help local Friends in need of my services.

Diamond Wedding Band Lost in Backyard Over 2 Years Ago in Guelph/Eramosa, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Karen was doing some mechanical repairs on her vehicle and decided to put her diamond wedding band and her keys in her back pocket so they wouldn’t get dirty.

She visited the garden area as well as her chicken / hen coupe and back to her car.

At some point Karen pulled her keys out of her back pocket and forgot about her wedding band.

Two years later I received a message for help and decided to head to Guelph since January was quite mild and very little snowfall.

Since I was dealing with 1 1/4 acres the “grid search” technique is the key!

Found some kind of insurance tag, some trash and then her diamond wedding band! I asked her to bring out her detector to hear a tone but had pulled her wedding band out already!

After surprising Karen, we then proceeded to surprise her husband!

Since this was my the first callout for 2024, I honoured her with a freebie! Thank you for your kind gesture which I dedicated to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer event!

Happy Birthday to us Aquarians!

MENS WEDDING BAND LOST AT EMERALD WATER PARK, PUSLINCH, ONTARIO

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Joel took his kids for an afternoon outing at Emerald Lake Trailer Resort & Water Park in Puslinch, Ontario.

He went down the water slide and felt his wedding band slip off his finger into the water below.

We are grateful to obtain permission from the owners to look for his wedding band near the end of the day not to disturb the patrons! Emerald Lake is a private trailer resort as well as a water park open to the public! Check out their website at emeraldlake.ca

I proceeded into the water with my floating battery operated air system called the DIVE BLU3 NOMAD. The nomad has a 30 foot hose and pumps air on demand down through the hose to my regulator! With a weight belt at slightly negative buoyancy, I am able navigate with ease to operate my underwater metal detector to find Joel’s wedding band!

Unfortunately, the visibility was extremely poor due to the silty bottom! There were numerous targets such as trash, small pieces of jewelry, pop cans, and pull tabs.
My metal detector and pin pointer helped me zone in on a solid loud target after approximately 40 minutes in the water!

HURRAY!! This target was Joel’s beautiful gold wedding band! Joel and his Wife were absolutely thrilled to have his wedding band back on his finger!

Happy to help recover Joel’s precious wedding band and grateful for permission from the owners at Emerald Lake Trailer & Water Park!

Young man loses sentimental 10k gold medallion on a local football field!

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I saw a post A Facebook post on my local area that a  Mothers teenage son lost a very sentimental gold scorpion medallion and was offering a reward for its return!

I sent Laura a private message to offer my assistance voluntarily and met up with her and her Son at 11:35PM that night!

Her son Daniel explained that he was playing football with his friends and soon after realizing that his gold chain around his neck was broken the gold medallion had fallen off! He panicked because the medallion had belonged to his late Grandfather Bill which was given to him last year by his grandmother.

It was an amazing warm night under a clear sky with an almost full moon on the 1st search night/morning. I decided to tackle the area (pun intended) where the kids first had their bikes set on the football field and then after a little while decided to go where the main area of football tackling took place.

Time was getting on and it was 2:40 AM in which I thought it was 1:40 AM. We decided to pack it in and that I would come back the following evening after work To continue grid searching!

In the meantime Daniel took a snapshot from Google Earth and highlighted the areas in red where he thought he was with his friends! I always try and get the clients to do that so I can complete a thorough grid search (expanding out by at least 10’) and sometimes a cross grid search!

The second day I continued gridding through on and off rain as well I went to 1245AM. The third day Friday after work I started back and went until 11:30 PM continuing the grid of the football field areas identified! The fourth day I finished off another section and decided to go back to the main area of tackling. I cross gridding in a different direction and on my third pass 4’ outside of Daniels highlighted (Cone placed) area I uncovered the precious heirloom gold pendant on the soil under a tuft of grass!!

When I arrive home I called Laura and proceeded with the surprise that I had recovered the medallion!! I dropped the medallion off after dinner!

Check out the video surprise!

I also advised Laura and Daniel that during the 2nd & 4th day searching… I uncovered three gold rings in the process!! I had already contacted one of the local teachers Mrs Reilly to see if somehow there were records at the school to assist in returning these rings to the rightful owners! Fingers are crossed!

The Family is so happy to have this precious heirloom gold medallion back and will be making a donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation In which they will receive a tax receipt!!
