Lost Heirloom Ring in Destin – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Jamie and Falon reached out this morning with some upsetting news. They were on a family vacation in Destin. The night before while taking family photos, Falon lost a very special ring somewhere on the beach. This ring was over 100 years old and belonged to her great grandmother. Her great grandmother had given it to her the night before Jamie and Falon got married years before. Falon also explained that they had lost her great grandmother back during COVID. I told them that I would drive over immediately. I started searching and it began to rain. I hoped that it wouldn’t start lightning but I needn’t have worried. In about 15 minutes I heard the sound I was looking for. It was pretty deep by that point but it came out shining beautifully. When I gave it back to the happy couple I was reminded why I do this. I hope having the ring back where it belongs makes the trip back home a little easier. 👍😃

3 Rings Lost – 3 Rings Found!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

I decided to go Pompano fishing after work yesterday afternoon but like always, I threw my detecting gear in my vehicle just in case. It’s a good thing I did because there was only a few hours of daylight left and I had just set my fishing rod down when I got a phone call from George. It seems they were right down the road in Gulf Shores and had been enjoying the day with family. Laurie, George’s daughter had taken off all three of her gold and diamond wedding rings and placed them in her chair’s cup holder to put on sunscreen. It was only at the end of the day when they were loading up their vehicle that Laurie realized what she had done and saw that all three were gone. They quickly did some googling and found me and very intelligently marked the area they had been sitting as a starting point. As George explained things, I was quickly breaking down my fishing setup and I told him that I would be right there. I decided to grid out the whole area since they didn’t know exactly where they were and it wasn’t too many passes until I found all three together in one scoop already buried several inches deep in the sand. Laurie said that this was their first day of vacation. I can only imagine how losing those three beautiful, sentimental rings would have ruined the whole trip. I am so glad y’all called me and I was able to avert a tragedy and help turn this into a great story for years to come. Enjoy your Easter weekend. 😃

Lost Engagement Ring – Gulf Shores, AL – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

I love good people and I really love being able to help them out when they have lost a ring.  I met my new friends Christa and Ryan today in Gulf Shores, AL after reaching out to me about  the possibility of finding Christa’s rose gold and diamond engagement ring that she lost in the shore break yesterday.  They told me that they were here from Texas and Christa had been cooling off in the water and was walking out of the surf when she was knocked to her knees by a wave.  She immediately realized that her ring was gone and Ryan helped try to search down in the sand for it only to discover that it was missing.  Christa found me last night on TheRingFinders.com and I returned her email this morning.  Ryan and I got a chance to talk shortly thereafter and I knew I had to help them out immediately.  My kids and I headed that way despite the rain and found Ryan in the parking lot buying us a parking pass, what a great guy.  We walked down and met Christa on the beach and talked for a second.  I quickly lost focus and had to talk to a well meaning guy with a metal detector about how we were thankful but we didn’t want his help.  After hopefully explaining that I didn’t need his help and in fact his presence there was making my new friends very nervous, he finally stalked us from a bit farther away and I could get started.  This is why it’s so important to start looking for it immediately.  About 45 mins later, Christa and Ryan came and got me and confessed that they may have been down the beach to the east 40-50yds.  I was thrilled to hear it because this means they have really been thinking about where the ring is.  I quickly moved that way and started over my grid search and after several coins I finally found that sweet sound and and showed them the scoop.  You can tell by the pictures that they are very happy to get the ring back.  Thank you so much Ryan and Christa for trusting me with your treasure.
