Lost White Gold men’s wedding band at Sanders Beach in Coeur d » Alane Idaho….Found!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

Lots of my Ring Finder stories start off with a very detailed description of how the ring was lost and how the person got in touch with me. However, this story is quite different from all of the rest of my stories. I was just finishing up a birthday celebration for my daughter when a gentleman called me and asked if I could help him find his lost ring on Sander’s beach in Idaho. The interesting thing was that I’m normally not in Idaho, I’m normally in Washington, but on this very day I was in Idaho. The other fact was that I didn’t have my metal detecting gear with me. This fact was also out of the norm, but what made it even more unusual was that the gentleman bought a metal detector and had it at the beach. The story takes another turn when he tells me that he must leave soon and he will leave the detector at the beach for me to use when I get there. So, after gathering up my family and pulling up the google map I was on my way to Sander’s beach. I found a parking spot right by the beach, which never happens. I rushed down to the beach and looked by the tree where the detector was stashed. To my surprise the detector was sitting right where the gentleman left it. The gentleman had taken the detector apart; my guess was to prevent it from being stolen. After I put it together, it worked. The detector was simple with an analog gauge and gave only one sound. This didn’t faze me; I bent over and started swinging the kid size detector over the sand. Within two or three swipes into my hunt I got a signal. I pushed the sand with my foot, and the signal moved with the pile. So, grabbing handfuls of sand, I passed my hand over the coil. On the third handful I saw the rim of the gentleman’s ring peeking out of the pile. I found his ring in minutes. After calling the gentleman I took the ring to his house and left it and the detector on his porch. During the ride home back to Washington I kept shaking my head in disbelief. How many searches have I gone on with the top-of-the-line detectors, spending hours searching and researching with no luck. Remember this, it doesn’t matter what detector you have; you won’t find anything if your coil doesn’t pass over it.

Lost Platinum Wedding Ring near Coeur d’Alene Idaho….Found!!!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

There was a quick and heavy snow fall that gripped the Coeur d’Alene region, last Tuesday. The roads were impacted; the houses were blanketed and the cars that were left out had been fully covered. This was bad news for Brad. The family had to leave the house soon. Before starting his truck, the driver’s side door had to be cleared. The top of the door always dumps snow into the cab if it’s not removed. After getting the snow off the car he had to clean his hands. With a quick flick the snow shot off his hands. But with the snows icy grip, it stole his ring from his finger. The quick theft that happened on his ring finger sent a cooled chill into his hand. Brad’s brain knew right away that the slippery hand of snow had struck, and his ring was gone. The search began for Brad’s ring instantly. The snow was deep, and it was dark out. So, Brad knew he had to get a metal detector. He was able to rent one and after only finding iron, he returned the detector.  While at the rental shop the clerk told Brad about « A Group » that uses metal detectors. That group, Brad found out, was called The Ring Finders.  So, Brad’s wife Alissa called me and made arrangements for me to come out the next day. After greetings and handshakes, I walked over to the side yard and spoke to Brad about the action that he did to lose his ring. He showed me the flicking motion he did with his hand and where the ring could have landed. I started searching and right away I got a signal and bent down and found a piece of wire. Then moved on down the side of the grass. As I came back, I got the same signal right where I found the wire. So, I pinpointed and dug through the grass until the ring popped out. The ring had buried itself so deep in the grass, that it wasn’t visible by eye and the wire hid it from the metal detector.  I was able to get that sneaky ring back to Brad very quickly.  Thank you, Brad and Alissa, for trusting The Ring Finders. Merry Christmas.
