Charles was simply taking care of some routine maintenance, testing the water in his hot tub on the second-story deck of his home, when something completely unexpected happened. Having lost quite a bit of weight in recent weeks, his once-snug 14-karat yellow gold wedding band had become noticeably loose on his finger. Suddenly, without warning, his beloved ring slipped off, went flying through the air, ricocheted off the stairs below, and completely disappeared!

Realizing what had just happened, Charles immediately made his way down to the ground level to search for his missing wedding band. He carefully inspected the grass surrounding the staircase, searched underneath and around the steps, and even examined a woodpile tucked away beneath the deck. Despite his determined efforts, the sentimental keepsake was nowhere to be found.

He carefully swept the detector over the areas where he believed the ring might have landed, hoping to hear that unmistakable signal indicating that his precious piece of jewelry was hiding somewhere beneath the grass.

Unfortunately, even with the help of a quality metal detector and a considerable amount of searching, Charles was unable to locate his missing wedding band.

That’s when Charles decided it was time to call in a professional!

When Brian arrived at the property, Charles walked him through the entire incident. He showed Brian exactly where he had been standing on the second-story deck when the ring flew off his finger. He pointed out the area of the staircase where he believed the wedding band had bounced before disappearing and identified the sections of the lawn he had already searched with his Nokta metal detector.

After completing his orientation and carefully evaluating the likely trajectory of the airborne ring, Brian returned to his vehicle to retrieve the necessary metal detecting equipment.

Then came the moment Charles had been hoping and praying for!

Within just 10 minutes of beginning the search, Brian recovered Charles’s missing 14-karat yellow gold wedding band!

The ring had been hiding in the grass approximately 10 feet away from the bottom of the staircase! Despite all the time Charles had spent searching, his precious wedding band had remained concealed in an area that had proved surprisingly difficult to locate.

What had initially seemed like an impossible mystery was finally solved!

Charles was absolutely thrilled and relieved that he had made the decision to hire a professional metal detectorist. His beloved wedding band, which had seemingly vanished into thin air, was finally back in his possession!

But the story doesn’t end there!

A Wedding Anniversary Surprise – Just in Time!

Shortly after the successful recovery, Charles’s wife pulled into the driveway. When she learned that Brian had found her husband’s missing wedding band, she was completely amazed and overjoyed!
