*** Carlos was I the pool at his apartment complex. He was throwing a ball  across the pool when his large gold nugget ring flew off his finger. He and his friends searched into the night without success. I was called because he believed the ring could be in some of the landscape plants.

I arrived the next morning and the ring was found in  a 3 foot high garden plant. It was actually 30 feet further away from where they believed it to be. The big gold ring was visible two feet high in the side of the Hibiscus plant. Probably more than 50-60 people had walked past it without seeing it..

*** I met Davi at a fire pit on the sand at Huntington State.Beach. He believed his silver class ring was in the sand. He had it on when he got to the group beach party. He didn’t feel it come off his finger. We scanned the area around the where he had been with no success.

As I was talking to him he said,he spent most of his time in a chair next to the firepit.

I suggested that I would return in the morning with sifting equipment to check the coals after they cooled off.

It was only 5 miles from my place and I felt it was worth a try. Davi didn’t want to bother me anymore. It was just a feeling I had, even thought he didn’t believe he did anything to lose the ring in the fire.

The next morning the coals were still hot so I took a bucket of water to cool the coals, so I could search them..

A couple of shovel full of wet soggy ashes and there was a blackened silver ring in the sifter. A lucky guess that I had because I knew the ring was not in the area I searched in the dry sand around the firepit.

*** Brittany and her family were at Bolsa Chica State Beach. They set up a beach tent and enjoyed the day. That evening after returning home her husband, Joe realized his wedding ring was missing. It wasn’t just a normal wedding band. It was his wife’s grandfather’s ring an hierloom ring passed down for their marriages couple years ago.

Joe had no idea of when the ring went missing and he had been many places between the time they went to the beach. After searching the car and house Brittany  purchased a metal detector from Amazon. She felt that possibly the loss occurred when Joe was filling sand bags to anchor the beach tent.

She returned to Bolsa Chica beach to find the ring. Shortly after trying to learn how to use a metal detector at the beach, she called me for experienced metal detecting service. Because Brittany had remembered how to get me in the general location. The ring was recovered in a short methodical grid search using a state of the art professional metal detector.

Joe was especially relieved, he took a lot of heat for not paying attention as to when the ring came off.

Sometimes it’s hard to take on these searches where the person didn’t realize when the loss occurred.  I try to explain that searching is a process of elimination, if I do not find it, they can search other places. Most the time I can assure the persons the item is not where I have detected..  with a little explanation.

** Cindy is from Seattle, WA., while vacationing at Laguna, CA. her gold chain with 2 gold pendants was lost in the ocean. She knew the necklace came off her neck when she gold tumbled by a wave in waist deep water. She has worn this necklace with pendants that were gifts from her deceased brother and another pendant that was purchased in Greece 40 years ago. (Irreplaceable )

She called me after she had returned to Seattle. I was able to determine a general search location and after two searches at the next low tide cycles, I was able to recover all three items. Cindy was elated when I called her. I mailed the items to her the next day express mail at her request.

Lost Diamond Wedding Ring in Grassy Curb Strip .. Huntington City Beach, CA

Mother lost wedding ring while loading her beach gear and children into her car. When she returned home she called Stan the Metal Detector man for metal detecting service . . if you need help call me, Stan ..949-500-3-2135

**Kara took her three kids to Huntington City beach for the day. After returning to her car, she dropped her purse on the curb strip grass. several items fell out of her purse, including he gold diamond wedding ring set. She was only able to find the engagement ring.

After returning home, she contacted me and we set up a time to meet the next morning. We were sure it was safely hiding in the grass and not in the street or side walk.

The next morning we met at the location of the loss. It was a quick recovery because Kara had the address of the home directly in front of where the purse spill happened. The small eternity style was not visible in the long blades of grass as the ring worked its way deep. This happens often when people start raking their finger through grass or sand. The metal detector is the right tool for this type of recovery.

*** Master Key for maintaining restrooms and city facilities lost in beach sand. Found and returned to a city worker. I got a call from a worker at a Southern California beach. He was concerned that his job may be in jeopardy if his boss found out he lost this important master key..

After hearing that he was sure the key had to be in the sand at a certain volleyball court, I told him we had a chance to find it with a metal detector.

He was unable to meet me at the location which wasn’t a problem. He was able to give me the number of the volleyball court.

I drove 5 miles to the location and was able to find the key before dark. Also I found a maintenance rake that was left at the volleyball court.

We were able to meet that same night to return his key.. and the rake.

I had just had mild surgery and could not go into the water. I called my favorite diver, Rudy to asked if he was available.  We met at the dock a couple hours later. Rudy is always willing to assist me and I provide him with some of my underwater metal detecting equipment.

After gearing up we were able to get both the cellphone and the wallet that had credit cards with identification.

I always try to have back up equipment and other Ringfinders available if I am unable to take a call out.

*** I was having my morning coffee when I received a text from Julie. She asked for help to find her wedding ring which got dropped in the sand during her wedding ceremony.  She did say it was lost at Little Corona Delmar Beach which is very close to my home. My problem was I had to be in Malibu by 11am.

I called Julie to get the best directions, so I could decide if I could fit the search in before driving across Los Angeles to Malibu. Timing is always important, so it was a quick call. The photo of the ceremony on the beach gave me enough background information that helped to make this a successful recovery.

The small gold diamond ring was found right at the top of the high tide water line. I had time to take a few photos and sent the good news to Julie and Marisa.  Later that afternoon I met them near their home to return the ring and get a photo for the book of smiles on my blog. It was my pleasure to meet them and return such a special ring.

This is not uncommon to lose a ring during a marriage proposal or a wedding ceremony. I love helping to make these special events a happily ever after moment. Call or text for help.. I will try anywhere . 949-500-2136

How to Find a Ring Lost off a Balcony .. Pasadena, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

I Find Jewelry lost off balconies or in backyards of private residences ..Mobile Metal Dettecting by Stan the Metal Detector Man .. Call or text. 949-500-2136

*** Steve had recently been given a beautiful gold ring that his father had worn for many years. He had not taken the time to have it properly sized and he has never worn a ring.

Well, after wearing the ring for only a couple weeks, he lost it when he threw a banana piel of his balcony. He was able to feel the ring come off his finger at the time the throw was made. The hillside was full of vegetation and dead leaves, making it nearly impossible to visually find.

Steve found my contact information online. I was able to meet him at his residence in Pasadena, Calif. Shortly after discussing his situation. This was not an emergency because it was a private residence. I could have set up an appointment for later in the week. The ring wasn’t going anywhere.

I try to work with the person’s schedule so they don’t have to take off work or miss an important appointment.

His ring was recovered using my metal detector, completely covered by dead leaves. Probably because he had walked over the area trying to find it before calling me.

Steve was very appreciative, because this was the only thing he had to remember his father who had passed away several years ago.

Please call if you need help or advice on finding you lost keepsake.. Availabev 24/7 if necessary .” I WILL TRY ANYWHERE”.. 949-500-2136
