Frankie was out taking photos in a large field near a local airport. While shooting photos, somehow her gold ring fell off her finger. Too make it a little worse, it was her Mother’s ring. She found my contact information on the ring finders website and we met at the airport the next day. We searched an area for about a half hour when Frankie noticed the pictures she had taken were marked with GPS coordinates. We were searching about 100 yards to the east of the GPS marked point. I followed her as she walked to the exact point the GPS guided her to, and I found the ring within 15 feet of the marked spot. I’ve done plenty of research on how close these coordinates are to the exact location, and even the manufacturer says within 50 yards in any direction. Luckily these were spot on . Congrats Frankie, glad I could help out.

Lost wedding ring metal detecting search Minnesota lake scuba

A young couple had their wedding at a northern Minnesota cabin, everything went great until the wedding party decided to board a pontoon and all jump off into the water. The bride had her wedding ring on for only a few hours and now it was lost in the lake. Luckily they had the right idea and marked the spot with an anchor and a float.

The grooms grandfather found me on theringfinders.com and I made the 3 and half hour drive the next morning. They marked the spot well and the water was only 4 feet deep or so. I found the ring in just a few minutes. Congrats to the bride and groom and hopes for a long and happy marriage!

FYI – Bride wasn’t available for the PIC, so I got the grooms smile :O)

Minnesota Lost Ring Metal Detecting River

Patrick and his wife were getting ready to tube down the Cannon River in Minnesota, while getting on the tube, Patrick saw his wedding band come off his hand and he tried his best to grab it. The ring disappeared into the river, about waist deep with a very rocky bottom. He tried to find it, and just couldn’t get it. He searched for help on the internet and found theringfinders.com – I met him down by the river and decided that scuba would be the best as the bottom was full of huge rocks and there is no way I could use a scoop to try and recover any signals. I found a few coins and some garbage as usual, though it only took about 15 – 20 minutes and that nice tone rang in my ears. I knew it was the ring.

Congrats Patrick, truly glad I could help!

Katy & Matt had some friends over to their cabin and they decided to go for a pontoon ride around the lake. Katy was out on the lake warming up the pontoon when the engine stopped working. It was a windy day and the pontoon was heading quickly to shore and towards the rocks. Katy had to stop the pontoon, so she jumped off and into the water to hold it steady (in about 4 feet of water). While she jumped off the pontoon, she caught her hand in the railing and not only did her ring pop off; she also hurt her hand. Matt searched on the internet for help in finding Katy’s lost ring, he came upon the ring finders website. He contacted and me and told me the scenario. He & I met up at the lake and took the pontoon to the spot, he put me right on the spot as it only took me about 15 minutes scuba diving to find it.

Congrats to Katy and I hope your hand heals quickly :O)

Lost Engagement / Wedding Rings Found Metal detecting Lake Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Noelle & Kevin called me about Noelle’s lost wedding band and engagement ring. They were visiting relatives on a lake in Minnesota. It was a very hot day and they decided to take a swim off the dock. Noelle took her rings off and left them with her shoes and towels on the dock. While they were swimming, their dogs were playing on the dock and knocked the rings into the water. They searched to no avail and decided to google « lost rings » to see if anyone could help. Google came up with the theringfinders.com and they gave me a call. It had to be a quick turn around as they were only visiting for a couple days and were leaving soon. I switched a few plans around and headed up to the lake. It was a really quick search, I think I spent only 1 minute underwater before finding both rings.

Congrats Noelle, truly glad I could help. Both Kevin & Noelle were very gracious and very helpful. Hopes and prayers for a long & happy life together.

Take Care,

Darrin ~

Lost Wedding Ring Found Minnesota Lake / River

Amy located me through theringfinders.com website. She lost her wedding ring and really wasn’t sure where. Her family had spent the day at the beach/park in Lake City Minnesota. While dining out that evening at a nearby restaurant, she noticed her ring was missing. They quickly backed tracked to the beach and parking area to search. As they talked to other people and park officials, they were informed of the ring finders website and Amy promptly called me. After talking about the scenario, we decided the best hope was on the beach or in the water. I met Amy’s husband Matt at the park and we did a quick search of the beach and water edge area. No luck. I suited up for a scuba search as Amy was swimming in water approx. 12 feet deep. It was a pretty large area to search and the water was murky with no visibility. When I get a hit on my metal detector I have to use feel to find the object. There was a lot of trash, I had to bring two full bags of trash back to shore and Matt would run it up to the trash can.  After 3 hours underwater I was just about out of air and out of confidence. I don’t know what it was, maybe divine intervention? Though, I was just getting out of the water and something told me to turn back I try one more time. Within the next few seconds I got another hit and there was that beautiful ring. It truly was an incredible search and find – One I will never forget.

Congrats to Amy & Matt!!! I’m so glad I could help recover your lost valuable.

Lost Necklace recovered Minnesota Lake – FOUND

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

I received a call from Joan about a lost Gold Necklace off a fishing dock in Minnesota. The following was written by Joan:

I got this Gold chain for my baby Godiva’s 2nd birthday last year. Unfortunately for me, I went to fish at a lake in Chanhassen and it dropped into the water. I was so stressed and feeling terrible. I contacted the local scuba shop and talked to Scott who could not find it. He recommended Darrin from the ring finders and said that Darrin was a good man and indeed you are. You brought a smile to me and my Princess for finding this Gold Chain. We will forever remember you for your good job and honesty. I will recommend you to everyone. Thanks so much Darrin.

So glad I could help Joan, it was a pleasure and it makes me happy to bring a smile to you and your daughter’s face!
