Lost Wedding Ring Recovered Scuba Diving Metal Detecting Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Will was out on his boat with friends enjoying a 90 degree day in Minnesota. A bachelor party for his good friend. They stopped at an island that has crystal clear water, sandy bottom, and is only 3 to 4 deep water. A popular place to cool off on the lake. While in the water, Will felt his wedding ring slip off his finger and only having the ring for 2 weeks, he couldn’t believe he lost it already. Even with the clear water, he & his buddies couldn’t locate the ring. After searching for help on his phone, he came across « theringfinders.com » and called me while he was still out at the island.  I was actually out on another ring search and didn’t get his message until a couple hours later. When I returned his call, he was just bringing his friends back to shore. We made a plan for early the next morning and met up at his boat slip. Will used his GPS mark to anchor us in the area and we planned out a grid search. I searched the area near the boat out to a marker we set and found bottle caps, pull tabs, coins, screws and other trash. After a half hour or so, I was getting no signals in the area. I decided to go a little deeper and start searching right under the boat. I got a nice hit on my Excalibur metal detector, swished away a little sand and there was that beautiful Gold Ring glistening in the sun. Will asked me prior to the search: « what’s the percentage rate that you can find the ring? » I told him that is 100% up to him. If he puts me within 20 feet of the ring, I’ll find it for sure. He put me right on top of it! That’s a first for me and was great on his part. Congrats Will, glad I could help out.

Sorry about the picture quality, I’ve been having issues with my iPhone.

Recovered USB Flash Drive Minnesota Metal Detecting

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

I know we are called theringfinders.com, though we actually find so much more than just rings. In my experience alone, I have recovered Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces, Smart Phones, earrings, Apple watches, property stakes, All types of lost boat gear including motors, poles, tackle & boxes. The list goes on, though the one thing I hadn’t searched for was a flash drive. Bruce called me up and asked if I could help search for his. I decided to give it a test first and see what my Minelab Manticore would give me for a reading if anything. I scanned a similar flash drive to his and it actually gave me a decent signal. Broken signal, though strong enough to find. Bruce works for the city and he thought he lost it during a meeting at a local park. I detected the area he was in with no luck. I told him that I was 100% sure the drive wasn’t in this area, so let’s move on to any other places you were that day. He said the only other place was at city hall. So, we drove over and parked, while discussing where to search, Bruce said I took this path and pointed down. As we looked down, there was his flash drive. I know you had a lot of saved work on that drive Bruce and I’m truly happy you have it back safe & sound.

Lost Wedding Band Recovered Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Ethan went to his families cabin for a little rest and relaxation. He decided to take his dog into the lake for a little play time. He told me that he seriously thought about taking off his ring before gong into the water, though second guessed himself as he wouldn’t be staying in long or going very deep into the water. After getting out of the water, he noticed his wedding band was missing.  He was pretty frantic and was really concerned about how disappointed his wife might be. He search the internet and found theringfinders.com. We spoke about the situation and I assured him that I would be able to recover the ring. I’ve been doing this for over 40 years now and I have learned all the tricks of the trade. As I tell people often « Not trying to sound pompous here » If the ring is there, I will find it. Being that Ethan was in 3 feet to 7 feet of water, I had to scuba dive. The dive took about 20 seconds and I found his wedding band. Ethan told me his wife is pregnant with their first child, so I wanted to say congrats and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!!!

Take care.

Lost Ring Recovered Scuba Diving Minnesota Gold Wedding

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Lebo and Brian went to their family cabin on a lake up north Minnesota for some rest and relaxation. Just an extra bit of info – They are also proud parents to a newborn baby, congrats!! :O)

In August the weather can get quite hot, I believe it was high 90’s the week they went up. Lebo decided to cool off and go for a swim off their dock. Before jumping in, she took off her wedding ring and put it in her towel for safe keeping. After her swim she got back on the dock, picked up her towel and started to dry off, just realizing her ring fell between the slats of wood into the lake. Don’t feel too bad Lebo as this happens more than you can imagine. Brian searched the web and found « theringfinders.com » and called me. We set up a day & time and I met them as soon as I possibly could. We performed a test with a junk ring I brought up to see how far the ring would go while picking up the towel. It dropped just a couple feet and rolled into the water. I put on my scuba gear and hopped in – It only took a couple minutes, and I recovered both rings right next to each other.

It was really nice meeting both of you! Tell Lebo’s Dad I said it was nice to meet him also….Congrats on getting your wedding ring back, truly glad I could help out.
