I got a text message in regards to a lost gold wedding band in South Surrey at a rugby field. After talking to the young man on the phone it turned out I wasn’t going to have to search a whole rugby field because he handed the ring to his coach to hold and unfortunately during the first half the ring is no longer in his coaches pocket…

His coach did not tell his player he had lost the ring until after the game. The coach spent the whole second half looking all over the sidelines for the ring, but unfortunately could not find it. He had to break the news to the player after the game. The whole team got together, joined arms and grid searched the area where his coach had spent most of this time during the first half.

Unfortunately, no luck, someone had mentioned to call TheRingFinders and he did.  After talking to the player and asking all my questions and setting up a time to meet the coach the next morning so he could show me all the areas to search. This became a huge challenge, unfortunately, he spent some time on half of one field warming up the team, then the other half of on the game field, along the sidelines behind the uprights and on the other side.

He did not know where the ring came out or when it came out of his pocket, but we did know it would’ve been when he pulled out his phone because it was in the same pocket. He told me he had pulled his phone out many times checking how much time was left in the game so this made the search area huge.

I spent 8 1/2 hours the first day grid searching areas he had showed me, but no luck, fortunately the caretakers for the rugby house came out and asked what I was doing, I told him I was looking for a lost ring for a rugby player. He asked what time his game was and I said I believe it was the last game of the day,  he told me that they have recorded footage of all the game and said maybe I should ask the coach or player to check the game footage and see where the coach was during the first half, and when he pulled his phone out.

This was a tremendous help as it put me in an area the coach forgot he was in, the next day after one and a half hours of searching bingo! I found his beautiful ring and helped continue this beautiful story of what it meant to him to get it back. I contacted his coach and I could tell he was so relieved and happy. I can only imagine how gutted he must’ve felt even though technically it wasn’t his fault. Things happens!

I love my job!

I received a phone call the other day from a young lady by the name of Jaspreet who told me that her mother had lost her ring in the back yard playing with her Granddaughter, they almost gave up the search when they couldn’t find the ring. They even cut the grass hoping to see the ring in the shorter grass. Not the best idea cause that could’ve sent the ring flying in any direction, I asked how she heard about my service and she told me that her 6-year-old daughter, Puneet, said google a ring finder…Amazing!

Puneet was a very smart young girl to think to search google.  She was so excited to show me the area she was playing with her grandmother, her nephew was there and he had some good ideas on where the ring could be. They were both very good little detectives!

I was excited to go out and hopefully find the ring for her, it was a wet day but that’s ok… I search in all weather!

Jaspreet couldn’t meet because she was working so I meet with her sister and the rest of her family. Such a lovely family and they were all hopeful I could find the ring, I was confident if it was there I could find it. After searching for about 45 with no luck my thoughts shifted to the neighbors yard. After getting permission to search the yard it took 15 minutes to find the ring. It was close to a wire fence and when I was talking to the little girl’s nephew I thought he saw me find it, but he didn’t. I was so excited and I had so many thoughts on how to surprise the grandmother.

On the way back from the neighbors house I walked into the driveway and saw that Jaspeet showed up…Perfect timing! Now I can do the double surprise! I walked ahead of them and dropped the ring in the grass and stepped on it to cover it a bit and asked that her mother come out do a test with my ring and show me where it may have flong to…Her mother was showing me when Jaspreet yells there the ring! She found the ring before I could surprise her…Lost once…Found twice!

For those who watch my videos, I always try to do a surprise revile, almost every time I don’t even know how I’m going to do that, it just happens…This time the surprise didn’t happen the way I thought it would but it was all good, the smile on Jaspreet face when she found the ring was priceless!

The real hero for this story is Puneet, thank you for telling mom to search google for a ring finder!

Lost Diamond Ring in Chilliwack BC, found in snow.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Call Chris Turner ASAP and find your ring!!! 1-778-838-3463 www.TheRingFinders.com

I received a text message late last night saying that a lady had lost her diamond ring in the snow and was wondering if I could help her find it. I text her back right away and asked if she could call me, the next morning at 8 AM I got the call. We talked about the search and much like my last 4 unsuccessful searches she didn’t know when the ring came off her finger. The other thing was that she was wearing gloves. I asked if she remembered taking the gloves off and she remembered two places the gloves came off. I asked where she lived and it was far…1 1/2 hour drive each way. We arrange a meeting for 10:30 am and the roads were good.

When I got there I asked the young lady where she took her glasses off and we decided to search the closest to her home where her son had to go to the washroom. Her and her husband had taken a tiger torch and melted the snow around that area…It only took a few minutes before I got a great signal, I move the snow and saw a beautiful diamond ring! I love my job, I love helping people find what they thought was lost forever. I was just as happy as she was when I saw that ring, if I hadn’t found it, it would’ve been a very long sad drive home.
