Lost Gold & Diamonds Sentimental Bracelet at Ala Moana Beach Park…FOUND!!!

This Gold & Diamonds Bracelet hunt began Friday afternoon as I was driving home from a Ko Olina hunt, when my phone rang. Alvin from San Francisco, on his 1st Anniversary vacation said his lovely wife Agnes lost her bracelet the night before as they were walking along Ala Moana Beach after sunset. My first thought was almost 24 hours have gone by and that beach has many detectorists and foot traffic. The sand is also very packed and not very soft for the metal to penetrate. Alvin thankfully was able to retrace their route from his phone. We met a short time later and I followed Alvin along the path. The beach was fairly sterile of targets so we got to the area they had stopped and I did a quick grid search in the soft sand there. I did find a small pendant but no bracelet. Since I traced my route by dragging my scoop in the sand I went back on the opposite side to expand the path. We got to the grassy area and I suggested one more lap back on the other side to take care of any GPS position error. About a third of the way I got a loud low tone and as I looked down I could see the shape of a bracelet just under the sand and gravel where the King Tide had washed ashore the previous night. I pushed my scoop gently into the sand and Gold and Diamonds appeared in the sunlight. I was as shocked as Alvin was. I reached down and picked up the bracelet, wiped it off and handed it to Alvin. We just witnessed a miracle and blessing. Had there not been the King Tides the bracelet would have been exposed and easily seen. Thank you Jesus! Alvin and Agnes were able to celebrate their 1st Anniversary with the sentimental bracelet her mother had made for her, on her wrist. Much Aloha to Agnes & Alvin!
