Lost Ring Located At Cedar Creek Park In Kelowna.

It was a late summer evening at Cedar Creek Park in Kelowna. Dee and her husband were out walking the dog down by the lake, Dee was engaged with her dog by throwing a ball into the lake, she was shocked when along with the ball into the water went her large silver and turquoise ring.

Both she and her husband spent hours searching the knee deep water for the ring, unfortunately the beach was rocky, the lake was wavy, with shadows on the rocks. The ring had fallen between the rocks and was difficult to see, Dee googled for help, and got me on Ring Finders. I responded the next day with my metal detector to assist them in their search. I knew the ring would not be hard to find, Dee was sure of the location, she saw it flying, she said it was a girly throw, and it can`t sink into the rocks.

After finding foil, bottle caps and pull tabs the ring was located which delighted Dee who called me her hero. She was so enthralled with the metal detecting hobby, that she purchased a metal detector from my company for her husband.

The distress call came in at noon,” I have lost my diamond ring, can you help me “My response was, I will be there in 30 minutes. Michelle was on vacation in Kelowna, from the lower mainland. The temperatures in Kelowna have been over the 35 degrees Celsius, they were at Gyro Beach, so a dip in the lake was in order. Michelle gave her wedding band and engagement ring to her mother for safekeeping, mother put them on a safety pin. When they arrived at the car only the wedding band was on the pin. I arrived and they showed me the part of the beach where they were sitting, hoping that the ring would be at that location. Talk about lucky within two minutes the ring was returned to the exited Michelle. My reward was the smile on her face, and the applause of all the people on the beach who all tried to find the ring.

Email received through Ringfinders.

I was so happy to come across your info online. We live in Kelowna and this past Monday,My Husband and I were playing football in the water at the beach. We were wrapping up the game to go dry off and I said….”okay last throw honey”. He went to catch the ball and his ring went flying off into the water as well. We looked for close to 2 hours. I went and borrowed a mask and snorkel and we did a grid, and had people helping us, but to no avail.I`m hoping your metal detector can help? We know the exact location it fell. We are only married just over 6 months and I`ve spent the last two days crying. The emotional value, With the engraving is so special and I hate thinking that its gone. We were in shallow water, Up to our knees standing, the ring is dark grey, tungsten carbide ring with the engraving “worth the wait”. Is there any way you can help? It would mean the World to me!! Feel to reply to my email or call me. Thank you Ken!! I am sure you can help.

The returned Ring brought tears to the wifes eyes.

The distress call came from Oyama B.C.                                                                      Logan was splitting firewood in his backyard, his wedding ring was getting in the way, so he removed it and placed on the splitting block as he stacked the wood. A while later he remembered the ring, only by this time a young boy had been in the yard and tipped over the block. Logan was unsure if the boy had moved the ring or not. He did a visual search of the yard with no success, so he searched the internet finding Ringfinders and requested my assistance. The ring was found quickly with my metal detector, it was in the grass and had been stepped on.

The horses water trough was frozen over, so Paul used his bare hands to remove the ice from the trough. After the ice was all removed and Paul was back in the warm house, he noticed that his 14k yellow gold wedding band was missing. He went back to the trough area and did a visual search, with no  luck. He went back indoors and googled the RingFinders, after contacting me, I told him I would be out the next morning with my metal detector to search for it.  It was a cold day with ice all around the trough area of the barn. Paul told me he shook his hands when they were cold and wet, so I did a search around the perimeter of the trough. Luckily it was soon found in the snowy area. Another happy customer.

I got a phone call late in the evening that Dena had lost her 18k gold ring in Okanagan Lake. After giving me a location, I told her I would be there in the morning to search for it. I searched for 3/12 hours with no luck, so I gave up. As I was walking up the beach, my hunting partner said he would check the beach for 1/2 hour, so I went back into the lake for another 1/2 hour. Wouldn`t you know it after 10 minutes I located the ring.  I went home and called Dena who was vacationing in Kelowna from Vancouver, she was delighted to have the ring that her mother had given her back.  It brought smiles to her face.

The ring was her Grandmothers wedding band that was given to her 3 months earlier, her father called me through Ringfinders, and I attended the next morning for the search. The family was debating about who was to call Grandma and tell her that the ring was lost. The ring was found within the hour, and it put a smile back on Katies face.

Ringfinders in the Snow

The first day of snow in Kelowna had Shawn Harrison and his wife Karen cleaning his car windshield of snow, once clean he shook his hands and drove away. When he arrived home he realized he had lost his wedding ring, he returned to the location with a metal detector to attempt to find his ring. It was hopeless too many signals to identify his ring, so he called myself at Ringfinders to assist him. On my arrival I found five people with propane torches and rakes searching the area, I joined the group with my detector and began searching, there were many signals but easy  for me to discriminate, after twenty minutes finding three coins and other deep good signals, I located the ring.

Another happy Ringfinders customer who says I saved his marriage.
