I received a call the other day in regards to a Lost Ring at a park in Newton,  after asking a few questions and being told the  search area wasn’t that big I decided to hit the park first before my beach search as I figured this would be a quicker recovery and I can focus more time on the beach.

When I got there, the young lady showed me the area where she believed the ring was lost and what she thought wasn’t that big of an area turned out to be a big area… I guess what people don’t realize is miss it by an inch miss it by a mile I have to lock down and provide a north south east west grid search in order to eliminate the search area and hopefully find what I’m looking for.

Let’s not forget the questions are so important in order to get you as close to where it was lost and save time, there was four potential search areas. One in the middle wasn’t bad. The two on the sides were tougher and after asking a few more questions we realize there was another area that needed to be searched and as Murphy’s Law would have it that’s where I found it four hours later in the last search area… sometimes it could take minutes to find what you’re looking for other times it can take hours or even longer… the smile makes it worth it

I received a text message in regards to how my service works and what I would charge to find a set of keys, lost on the side of the highway in tall grass or possibly in the ditch. Right away I suspected the worst, meaning someone got mad and threw the keys… I was correct on my assumption and the young man spent most of the night searching for his keys, he had to get his car towed to a friend’s place and then found me online. We discussed the search and decided to meet to find his keys.

This young man expressed how much the keys meant to him as he did not have a spare key for his car and it was going to cost him by the sounds of it over $700. Also the fact he had to have the car towed it becomes very expensive as you could imagine not to mention his work keys and house keys were very important to him.

When we met, he showed me the area and smartly marked the spot where he pulled off to the side of the road before the keys were thrown out of the car. This helps tremendously in having a successful recovery as sometimes I get to areas where people can’t put me in the exact spot. It could be off by 100 yards or more.

It didn’t take me more than five minutes before I found the young man’s keys and I got to see how happy it made him to get them back. I love my job!!!

Last night I got a phone call in the late evening in regards to a Lost gold 24 karat ring at a park. This was a referral from a young lady I had helped just the year before. She told her friend about my service and she called right away.

I put my dinner in the oven and had it right over to that park, knowing that it was time sensitive as the grass is very short there and anybody could happen along and see it the next day.

Play something I got there it was 9 PM. I laid out my tape measures and started the grill in the area. They put me in after my first section of north south grid I went to an east west extended the area and found her cool golden frog just outside of  my markers. ,This was a very lovely  frog with rubies and diamonds a gift from her grandparents. She does not ever have to tell the story if she doesn’t want to now that she’s got it back that’s up to her. I love my job.!!!

Lost Gold Pendent Found in Surrey with Metal Detector…

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Vancouver/Lower Mainland Metal Detecting Service Call 24/7  Chris-778-838-3463

I received a call yesterday afternoon in regards to a young man who lost a gold pendant that was a gift for his first wedding anniversary. He bought a Metal Detector and searched for 2 1/2 days with no luck. That’s when he went online and found me on TheRingFinders website.

He called me late afternoon yesterday we discussed the search and I decided to go out immediately and start looking as this was lost in a public area where someone else could find it. When we met, it was a pretty big area so I pulled out my grid search tapes and started my process.

At about 9 PM four hours into it, I decided to pull the plug grab a bite to eat and just stay there overnight in that location cause I knew I had to come back and research the area after talking to him and finding out a little bit more about extending the location.

I woke up there at 6 AM and started my search, because it was early enough in the morning there was a lot to due on the field making it extremely easy for me to grid search and create grid lines in order to see were I was searching. This saved me a lot of time and within the hour I was able to eyeball his beautiful gold pendent in an area kids were playing soccer and well outside the search area I did the night before. A text message, the young man, the picture of the recovery and instantly responded with gratitude… I love my job!

Metal Detecting Service for all Vancouver Beaches…

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Vancouver/Lower Mainland Metal Detecting Service 24/7 don’t wait until it’s too late. Call ASAP Chris 778-838-3463

Well spring has sprung  and calls are coming in now. Last night at 10:30 PM I received a call from a young man who told me his fiancé lost her engagement ring at the beach by the volleyball courts at Spanish Banks. After talking and listening to the story, I felt it was important that we got there sooner than later. There’s a lot of people detecting these beaches and around volleyball courts.

We were set to meet just after 11 PM,  I got to meet the lovely couple and hear their story and they showed me the area they believed the ring was lost. They were only engaged for four months so you can imagine how she must’ve felt to lose such a beautiful ring. Both had very little confidence they ever see it again.

They even purchased a Metal Detector online, but after a bit more research, they found out about TheRingFinders and called…I have  over 50 years of metal detecting experience and I can make searches look easier than they are and I also love to surprise people!

This search only took approximately five minutes before I saw it in my scoop, and was able to surprise this lovely couple with such a beautiful ring that the young man picked out with the help of friends of his fiancé… Very crafty!

Received a call last night approximately 9:45 PM in regards to a young man who lost his wedding band in some long grass at English Bay Beach. I listen to his story,  he was still there with friends searching with flashlights, but he knew he needed more help.

I asked him how he found my website and he said he just googled and found it very quickly and decided to call for help.

We met around 10:30 PM and I began my search. It was on a slope hill with some short grass and long grass mixed in, it was a tough search due to it was a little slippery and just the angle of the hill made it a little hard to get in a good grid search and do it properly.

Close to one hour of searching I found this young man’s beautiful wedding band. He told me they were together for 12 years so you can imagine what this meant for him to get it back. Unfortunately I didn’t get a video for this search as the important parts were on the camera photo setting... What a rookie mistake!

Lost cell phone found at White Rock Pier

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Lost your Jewellery, cell phone, keys… don’t wait till it’s too late call/24/7  Chris- 778-838-3463

Cell phones…We live on them now and they are crazy expensive. Most of us have them insured bot if you don’t have the phone you dot get a replacement, for us, Canadians AppleCare does not include lost or stolen however, if you go through your provider, most cases, they will offer you lost or stolen for an extra fee. I have mine insured that way because mine cost a lot of money… I think next year I’m going to lease my phone

I was detecting at White Rock beach and I found a phone I put it in my pocket when I got home I cleaned it up took the SIM card out put it in my iPhone and was able to get a contact number off that phone. This phone belong to a young lady and the mother explained how important it was to get it back because without it their plan would cancel for some reason they needed the SIM card. I’ve returned a lot of phones because I know how to retrieve the numbers from them. I still have a lot of phones that haven’t been claimed. Maybe people were on holidays here and just gave up..

This is the young ladies uncle who picked up the phone…

Lost Ring in Delta, BC…Global News Story

Lost something call TheRingFinder Chris Turner ASAP. Don’t wait until it’s too late! 24/7  778-838-3463

Thank You  »Jay Durant » Reporter for Global News

I received a phone call from a young man who lost his wedding band at a park, he said he saw a story about my service on Global News that afternoon,  it gave him hope that maybe I could find it for him.

He also told me he had rented a metal detector and searched for it but could not find it. I always wonder how many times that happens where people rent or buy a detector and don’t find what they’re looking for and walk away.

When I met Jeff at the park, he showed me the area where he had put a blanket down while his youngster was playing, and when he got up, he shook the blanket and the ring went flying. It took me less than five minutes to find his white gold wedding band that he wore for six years. I have to thank Jay Durant & Global News for running a great story and helping their viewers find what they thought was lost forever.

How to find your lost iPhone, Vancouver BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I find things…That’s what I do! I was out detecting one night a few weeks back and I found an iPhone at low tide at 1 am. I put it away and it took me a week or so to get the little tool to open my sim card holder. This is a way I’ve learnt that I can find the persons phone number, when I put their SIM card into my iPhone I just go into settings, about this phone then I can find their number listed. I then take out the SIM card put mine back in and reach out to them. I’ve returned so many iPhones this way. I was happy that he called me back and we hooked up today and I gave back the young man’s phone, he was extremely happy and told me the story how it ended up in the ocean. A coworker threw it into the ocean… alcohol was involved lol… as I’m writing this story I received a text message from Adrian. He said when he got home and put it on the cordless charger, the phone worked… Amazing!

Find your lost ring in the snow…Vancouver, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Lost your ring, cell phone, keys… Don’t wait until it’s too late. Call ASAP 24/7 Chris 778-838-3463.

I received a text message late last night asking for help to find a  lost man’s 22 karat diamond ring. I saw the text message when I woke up early this morning and let him know to call me as soon as he saw my message.

7 AM I got the phone call and listen to where he believed his ring had come off his hand. He told me it was about a four block walk from his house to the bus station. I could already imagine how hard this search was going to be, for the fact that we just got snow a few days ago. After talking, I heard him mention he was wearing gloves… that changed everything! My next questions were when did the gloves come off and do you remember where, he did fortunately.

He told me two times he had slipped and fell, he said one time close to his house, crossing the road he slipped and fell when he got onto the sidewalk he took his glove off and dusted the snow off his pant leg and jacket. The second time was closer to the bus terminal four blocks away same thing, he took his glove off to wipe snow off of his pants and jacket.

I started my search where he first fell close to his house, and literally the first minute I found it wedged into the road, just the brim of it showing. Sometimes we get lucky and it doesn’t take long to find what we’re looking for, other times it could take hours and hours. I’m always grateful for these quick ones and for the fact that nobody else found it before me. I love my job. I get to find people Lost smiles and hear their stories.
