5 Rings Lost — 1 Recovered by NJ Ring Finder on the Jersey Shore

Elizabeth was enjoying a beautiful day at the Jersey Shore, soaking up the sun and having fun swimming and relaxing on the beach. To keep her jewelry safe, she removed all five of her rings and placed them carefully on her beach blanket.

As the day came to an end, Elizabeth began packing up. When she picked up the towel to shake it out, all five rings flew off into the sand. She managed to recover four of them, but one special ring was still missing.

After searching without success, she decided to call me — Edward Trapper, the NJ Ring Finder — a name she heard from several beachgoers nearby. We made arrangements to meet later that evening. The beach was mostly empty by then, which made things easier. Thankfully, Elizabeth had marked the location where she believed the rings had landed, just as I had asked.

I started searching the area she pointed out but came up empty. That’s when I asked her to demonstrate exactly how she shook out the towel. With strong southwest winds blowing, she showed me that she had been facing north when she did it. Based on that detail, I widened the search and adjusted my direction.

Just one additional pass in the new area and I had the missing ring in my scoop!

Elizabeth was stunned — and thrilled. It’s amazing how the smallest details can make all the difference.

Engagement Ring Lost During Bachelorette Trip – Recovered in Beach Haven, LBI by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

I received a call on a sunny Friday afternoon from Rianna, who was in Beach Haven, Long Beach Island (LBI), NJ, with about 20 friends for a bachelorette beach weekend. Her friend Sarah had removed her engagement ring to apply sunblock and set it on her lap. A short time later, she stood up—and the ring vanished into the sand.

They immediately began searching and digging through the area but had no luck. That’s when Rianna searched online and found me, Edward Trapper – NJ Ring Finder. She called me in a panic, and I told her to stop digging and that I’d be there within 30 minutes. I assured her that if the ring was there, I’d find it.

I arrived in about 25 minutes, and Rianna met me at the dune walkover. We reviewed what happened, and I walked down to meet the group—who welcomed me with claps and cheers before I even began searching.

After scanning the area where they had all been sitting, I cleared a few faint signals. Then I got a very soft tone that I immediately knew was the ring. As I sifted through the sand and held it up in the air, the entire group erupted in cheers, tears, and hugs. A very emotional and unforgettable recovery!

I’m so glad I could help bring a happy ending to what could have been a very sad memory.

How to find lost wedding ring on the beach, Lavallette NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Sean and his wife, Robin, were enjoying a beautiful day on Long Beach Island with family and friends when the unexpected happened—Sean’s wedding ring slipped off his finger without him even noticing. As a newlywed, he wasn’t used to wearing a ring, and it wasn’t until they returned to the house that he realized it was missing.

Sean retraced his steps and went back to the beach to search, but after having no luck, a few kind strangers who had seen him looking recommended my ring recovery services. He gave me a call, and we met at the beach shortly after.

Fortunately, Sean had a good idea of where the ring was lost. After a short search, my metal detector picked up a solid signal—and sure enough, the ring was safely in my scoop! A few quick photos later, and the ring was back on Sean’s finger where it belonged.

Happy to help bring a smile to this newlywed couple and turn their day around!
