Beausoleil Island, Port Severn, Ontario~Lost late Grandmother’s 18k white gold engagement ring in waters of Georgian Bay

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2017-09-04 Beausoleil Island, Honey Harbour, Port Severn, Ontario

Received a phone call from Zac that his girlfriend Lauren was washing her hair in the water when her dog jumped in and her late Grandmother’s recently gifted to her went flying off her finger. Lauren was devastated!!!

So I made arrangement to come flying up Hwy 400 that day and meet Zac at the boat launch as we were headed to an Island cottage.

Lauren explained the area and I was limited to half of a scuba tank. I started grinding and pulled up some crazy items….large nails, old brass table light switch, some coins and lots of metal. Zac had said to try further over. After an hour he jumped it and used the small Scuba Tector I had brought along while I continued with the Minelab Excallibur 2. I went back to the original location and within 20 minute….B-O-O-M….FOUND Lauren’s late Grand Mother’s engagement ring. WHAT A BEAUTY. 18k WHITE GOLD ….. PRICELESS XO

I secretly hinted to my Daughter to start filming….and then SURPRISED THEM. Lauren shrieked in sheer relief. She was very grateful.

Here’s the video! WARNING…. ONE LOUD SWEAR WORD….LOL

Soccer Field Wedding Ring Recovery, Palm Harbor, Florida

Brian was having a great Sunday Soccer game until he was headed home and noticed he no longer had his wedding ring. He returned to look for it and even considered renting a metal detector but then he  discovered there was a club that offered to recover lost items. He sent an email and Mike Miller responded and then set up a hunt of the entire soccer field for the following Saturday morning. Paul Hill, Howard Metts, Elmer Stennes, and Mike showed up for the hunt. We hunted the entire field and after 3 hours Paul found the missing ring. Brian could not believe the dedication we had in searching for the ring and was very pleased with the result. As you can see by his smile he is very happy to have his wedding ring back on his finger. Way to go guy’s !!!!!!!!

Lost Wedding Set at Honeymoon Island

Denny and Ashley just moved down from New Hampshire last week when they decided to take advantage of our beautiful beaches. Heading to Honeymoon Island seemed like the perfect spot. As Ashley was playing with their 2 and 6 year old children BOTH her engagement and wedding bands came off. Heartbroken she contacted SRARC and a team was established. (Howard Metts, Mike Miller, Paul Hill and Stan Flack) Taking the lead was Howard Metts…working with the Park Rangers he quickly received permission for us to hunt in the water. (normally off limits to metal detecting) Howard had worked the sand the evening before and was unable to find the rings. The team arrived just as a thunderstorm was about to hit. Within 20 mins. the lightning forced us to move to shelter. The team waited it out and 30 mins later were back at it. Three in the water and one working the wet sand. Within 10 mins Stan who was working the wet sand, signaled that the rings were recovered! Denny was astonished and elated that his wife’s rings were headed back to her. This could have been a devastating start to their new life down in the Sunshine State.

Thanks team! And welcome to Florida Denny and Ashley!
