Tiffany & Michael were down to Anna Maria Island from Connecticut for some fun and sun. They set up their area on Holmes Beach and Tiffany remembered she was wearing a very special ring so decided to protect it by tying it to one of the strings on her string bikini. During the day they ran around in the sand and tossed a football back and forth before going into the water to cool down. After returning to their area after cooling off, Tiffany noticed that her ring was no longer on her bikini. The area they had been in throughout the day was so large that it was impossible to search. They mentioned to a gentleman on beach named Bill what had happened. Bill suggested that they call SRARC ring finders. Joe Szemer got the call and contacted Mike Miller to see if he could respond quickly as the couple was going to leave in a short while. Mike headed down to the beach immediately and arrived just as they were leaving. Michael took Mike out to show him the area they thought he should hunt and then they left to return to Tampa. As Mike setup to begin the hunt, Bill came over and said he had been watching them the whole time they were there and that he should hunt in a completely different area than Michael had laid out. Since the area where the ring might have been lost (about the size of a football field) Mike went with what Bill suggested was the area they were most active in. After choosing to do the upper area first and having no luck Mike moved back to the middle and began the search of the lower area. After two sweeps the sweet sound of gold popped into Mike’s ears and sure enough there it was. Since Michael and Tiffany were already headed for return to Connecticut Mike will be returning the ring via USPS and is sure Tiffany will have a great big smile on her face when she opens the package. Thank you so much to Bill for putting Mike on the right track to finding the ring, without your help Mike would have never found the ring.

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Emma joined a group of friends at Holmes Beach for Memorial day festivities in a private compound right on the beach. She was with a close group of friends one of which was the grand daughter of the owners. They all walked out to the beach and setup chairs and were just enjoying each other and the hot sun. Some of them decided to go for a swim and Emma removed the ring that her mother had passed down to her and set it on the chair arm. Now this was no plain old ring, it had been given to her mother by her father way back when they were high school sweethearts. Emma raced off with her friends and swam for a while and when she returned to her chair the ring was gone. Maybe someone had bumped the chair or moved it and the ring had just disappeared. They all looked through the sand but could not find it. On the following Tuesday, Mike Miller came into the same area to search for a different persons lost wedding ring which had been lost on the outer sand bar. Turned out the water was to deep for Mike to hunt so he paddled back to shore and decided to do a little sand hunting while he dried out. He was soon approached by a woman telling him the story about Emma’s lost ring. She pointed out the area she thought it had been lost in and sure enough a few minutes later up came the ring. She was over joyed and took Mike to the house where Emma’s friend was still staying and the ring was put into her hands for safe keeping. I am pretty sure Emma and her parents will be very excited and happy when they hear the good news.

They all meet at a local B & B on Holmes Beach and on their first evening together headed out to the beach to watch the sunset. They had set up their chairs and got some drinks out of the cooler when Sarah remembered that she had not removed her engagement ring. She quickly took it off and handed it to her fiancé, Tyler, who put it into his wallet and zipped it closed. They enjoyed the warm evening watching the sunset and reminiscing about their college days. When it came time to go Sarah asked for her ring and Tyler unzipped his wallet and to their surprise it was not in the wallet. They all searched and searched but could not find it in the dry sand. As it began to get dark. Brenna googled “lost ring Anna Maria Island” and up popped SRARC ring finders. She called Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller. Mike left immediately for the beach and was soon greeted by the gang. He quickly went to work and within a few minutes had the ring back on Sarah’s finger. When the ring came out of the sand, there was much laughter and many smiles. SRARC is so glad we were able to turn this disaster into a happy memory.

Ring Lost At Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC

Scott and his Laurie came to their favorite spot on Anna Maria Island from Brandon to enjoy their 39th wedding anniversary at the beach. They set up their chairs at the edge of the tide line and just relaxed for a couple hours and then decided to take a walk down the beach.. After returning, Scott noticed his ring finger was swollen so he decided to remove his wedding ring and put on his little finger. They stayed a few more hours and then headed home. After arriving home, Scott noticed his ring was gone. Thinking back he remembered hearing a tink sound while setting in the chair and came to the conclusion that it must have been his ring hitting the chair. They headed back to the spot the next morning with rakes and shovels to try and find the ring. They had no luck but as they worked a local beach gower asked what they were doing. When she discovered it was a lost ring she directed them to the SRARC Ring Finders. They called Joe Szemer and Joe called Mike Miller to meet them right away while they were still at the beach. It took just a minute for Mike to find the ring and return it to a very happy couple.

Gold Cross Lost On Holmes Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Rachel was spending the afternoon with her family at Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. She had set her chair right at the edge of the water and was just enjoying the water lapping at her feet. When it came time to head home she stood up and walked a few feet towards the parking lot, then noticed the chain that held her gold cross was broken. She told me, « my beloved cross I’ve had since I was 16, came off my chain. I bought it with my own money after I started working at the movies » and now it is gone. They all searched the area for an hour and a half but could not find it. They finally left the beach with heavy hearts as it became dark and returned home to Brandon. The next day she asked for help in several metal detecting groups on Facebook. SRARC ring finders contacted her and soon we had Dane Trask headed to the beach for a recovery. Dane called Rachel from the beach and got detailed instructions and the hunt was on. After a quick hunt Dane pulled the cross from the sand. A short time later Dane met Rachel and family to return the cross. As you can see, Rachel was overjoyed to have her beloved cross back on her neck and Dane looks pretty pleased as well.

Ring Lost In Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC

Georgia and Scott were visiting from Orlando. They came to see his parents for Memorial Day Weekend. They were all out at Anna Maria island for the day on Sunday and his dad and Scott were tossing the football around in the water. Scott felt the ring come off when he dove to catch the ball. They immediately started looking for it and grabbed some goggles from people nearby but had no luck. They found out about SRARC Ring Finders from a nearby camp and called and emailed in to Howard. They have been married for 1 year as of March 1st so the ring is very special to them and Georgia was very upset Scott had lost it. The next day Mike Schuler, Bill Gallant, Dane Trask, and Mike Miller met them at the beach. After getting instructions the hunters took to the water. In about 30 minutes Dane (on his first hunt with the Ring Finders) found the ring, Scott and Georgia couldn’t believe that we were actually going to find it. They said “They were so nice and helpful. THEY ARE THE BEST!!! Thank you again so much for helping us find it!!!” Congratulations to Dane on his first recovery and welcome the SRARC. We are very happy to have been able to return the ring to Scott and enjoyed both his and Georgia’s big smiles.

Ring Lost On Cortez, FL Recovered By SRARC

Merry and Brian were visiting Anna Maria Island from Long Island for a couple of months. They decided to have lunch at the Star Fish Company and Restaurant in Cortez, Fl. After lunch they were sitting at the bar when an old friend arrived. Merry stood up and hugged her friend and as she patted her on the back her ring flew off and fell through the crack between the deck planks. This was not just any ring, it was Merry’s grandmothers wedding ring handed down to Merry’s mother and then to Merry her self just one month ago. Brian went under the deck which is over the water and searched but could not find it. A customer noticed what was going on and told Merry about SRARC ring finders. Merry contacted Joe Szemer who sent a callout. Mike Miller responded and in about 10 minutes the ring was back on Merry’s finger. The customers at the restaurant all cheered and Merry broke down in tears. We at SRARC get so much satisfaction when we get to return a special item like this. We are ever so happy to have recovered this heirloom for Merry.

Lost Wedding Set Recovered on Anna Maria Island

Keith, Karen and their two children Charlie and Katie came from North London to visit friends and hang out on Anna Maria Island for a couple weeks. On one of our hot summer days Karen needed to cool down so she waded out into the gulf to about waist high water. She spent a little while out there with her children playing a little and she tossed a ball once or twice. She dipped down and then went into shore again. Just before reaching the shore she sat down in the ripples, put her hands back behind her and leaned back on them. After setting there a while she got up and went up to their chairs on the beach where she reached for a towel. At that moment she realized that her wedding ring set was gone. They all looked for some time in the area of water where she had been setting. After finding nothing their friend Tracy googled about lost rings and found SRARC Ring Finders. Keith then contacted Howard Metts who contacted Mike Miller and a hunt was scheduled. After hunting the area where Karen thought she lost her rings Mike spread out into deeper water and after about an hour a good hit proved to be her wedding ring. Mike continued to hunt and then returned the next day but could not find the engagement ring. Mike then reached out for some additional help and returned a couple of days later with Paul Hill and Carl Boekemier. They hunted about three more hours but sadly never found the engagement ring. We are sad that we could not return Karen’s engagement but feel good about at least letting her return to London wearing her wedding ring. It was a pleasure to meet the whole family and we wish them a safe and pleasant trip home.

Lost Ring Recovered On Anna Maria Island

Forrest and Sarah headed to Anna Maria Island to enjoy Forrest’s day off. They were just relaxing in the sun, swimming, and then decided to toss a ball around for a while. Forrest was standing in waist deep water and tried a one handed catch. The ball caught the bottom of his wedding ring and lifted it over his knuckle and as his hand flew back the ring spiraled into the gulf. He stood right where he was and people searched around him for several hours. It was not to be found. Forrest contacted SRARC and Mike Miller scheduled a team for the next morning. Mike and Ed Osmar worked for about a hour in neck deep water with no luck and then Mike Shuler arrived and went to work. About a half hour later Shuler yelled “Is it yellow gold?” and held a gold ring into the air. Forrest rushed over and proclaimed “ I can’t believe you found it” Lots of smiles and hugs followed. We are very happy that we were able to return another cherished wedding ring.

Mans Gold Wedding Ring Recovered From Anna Maria Island

Dan and Sue were vacationing on Anna Marie Island over the Forth of July week with their kids. They were having a great time until Thursday evening when Dan was in about 3 feet of water with the kids and was trying to feel for shells in the sand. As he lifted his hand from the sand he felt his wedding ring slipping off his finger. He quickly pushed his hand back to the sand to try and trap the ring but it flew off before he could save it. The whole family frantically searched for the ring and other beach goers joined in to where they had 12 people looking at one point. They couldn’t find it and returned to their room that night and tried to think what could be done to get the ring back. Eventually Dan found Ring Finders on the internet and contacted Howard Metts. Howard put out an email to the club hunters and Mike Miller responded that he happened to be in the area and could meet them at the beach right away. After hunting for about an hour Mike got the good signal and called Dan and Sue over. He said I think this is it. It sounds really good but just in case I’m wrong, when I dig, it could also be a pull tab so don’t be disappointed. Mike dug and shook the sand out or the scoop and caught a glimpse of gold. He moved the scoop over to Dan and said “I think I see gold in there” Dan looked and saw nothing. Mike said “dig around in the shells a little bit”. Dan started digging and instantly found his lost wedding ring. Both Dan and Sue are overjoyed to have his ring back. It was solid smiles all around with the whole family.
