Glenn and his wife were enjoying a fantastic day at St. Pete Beach, on the Florida Gulf coast. He took his ring off, placed it on his lap and applied sunscreen. He stood up and the ring went into the white powdery sand. Finding SRARC.COM online, he called Joe. Beach traffic was at a standstill as usual on Saturday afternoon. Joe notified Glenn, who drove Joe’s car as he hunted for the ring. The ring was found and Joe returned to his car still stuck in traffic. Glenn and his wife were all smiles and very appreciative.

Corie, Rob and family from Arkansas were down on Anna Maria Island for spring break. They headed out to the beach in front of their condo at about 3 pm to enjoy the sun and surf. Corie took off her three wedding rings to put on some suntan lotion then promptly forgot about them. At some point later she remembered them and went looking for them. She couldn’t remember exactly when she had removed them or for sure where she had set them down. The whole family looked and looked but could not find them. The most important ring had a beautiful solitary diamond which had been in Corie’s grandmothers wedding ring so it was an irreplaceable heirloom. Rob decided to look for metal detectors on the internet and soon found SRARC ring finders. He contacted Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller and a hunt was scheduled. Once Mike arrived it was just a matter of minutes until he had the rings back on Corie’s finger. Rob said he had timed our response and from the time he texted Joe until the time we returned the rings it was just under one hour. He said they were sure they would never see the rings again but SRARC saved the day. Mike is the lucky one as he got hugs around and lots of smiles and cheers.

Kyle, his wife, and friends came to Anna Maria Island from Alabama for a little sun and surf on the gulf. They set up their chairs and towels close to the gulf’s edge. Kyle was doing a little reading while relaxing in the sun when they decided to go for a swim. He carefully hide his wedding ring in the book and left it on the chair with the towels and other articles. When everyone returned and grabbed towels and things somehow the book got moved and the ring was lost in the sand. When Kyle went to retrieve his ring he could not find it. They all searched through the sand but with no luck. That evening Kyle’s wife googled lost ring Anna Maria Island and up popped SRARC ring finders. She contacted Joe Szemer and he contacted Mike Miller who made arrangements to meet Kyle at the location. About 6 swings and there it was just barely showing through the sand. Kyle held the ring up into the air and cheers from his friends broke out from the balcony above us. His giant smile was a wonderful thing to see.

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Tyler and his large extended family from Indiana were staying at a condo on Reddington Beach, enjoying the Florida sun, sand and surf.  Tyler placed his wedding band on a towel to apply sunscreen, and the next thing he knew, his ring was missing.  Everyone pitched in and raked through the sand with their fingers, but with no success.  While looking online about how to rent a metal detector, they found the site for SRARC and Ringfinders.  Tyler called for assistance, and a notice was sent out to the group.  Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler responded to the site, where Tyler and his family had been keeping careful watch over the area.  In less than five minutes, Mike held his scoop out to Tyler, who saw the ring inside and excitedly plucked it out.  We’re glad to see Tyler reunited with his ring so that he can continue to enjoy his beach vacation!

Lost Ring Recovered On Anna Maria Island

Forrest and Sarah headed to Anna Maria Island to enjoy Forrest’s day off. They were just relaxing in the sun, swimming, and then decided to toss a ball around for a while. Forrest was standing in waist deep water and tried a one handed catch. The ball caught the bottom of his wedding ring and lifted it over his knuckle and as his hand flew back the ring spiraled into the gulf. He stood right where he was and people searched around him for several hours. It was not to be found. Forrest contacted SRARC and Mike Miller scheduled a team for the next morning. Mike and Ed Osmar worked for about a hour in neck deep water with no luck and then Mike Shuler arrived and went to work. About a half hour later Shuler yelled “Is it yellow gold?” and held a gold ring into the air. Forrest rushed over and proclaimed “ I can’t believe you found it” Lots of smiles and hugs followed. We are very happy that we were able to return another cherished wedding ring.

Ring Lost Off Seawall In St. Pete Found And Returned

Newlywed Bill Gandy was out by his sea wall when his wedding ring slid right off his finger, bouncing off the wall and PLUNK right in the water. Bill tried wading in the murky water to try and find his ring and after a short while realized it was futile. After a google search for lost rings recovered in the St. Pete Beach area and metal detectors, Bill found team leader Stan Flack’s phone number and gave him a call. After gathering some information and an address, Stan passed the information on to team member and dock specialist, Joe Szemer. Joe spoke with Bill and made the short drive over to his house meeting up with Bill’s wife. After about 20 minutes of searching, Joe got a signal in one of Bill’s footsteps from his early attempt and sure enough there was Bill’s ring. A very happy Mrs. Gandy was pretty happy to have his ring back. He had only had it for a week and they feared it was certainly long gone. Great work Joe. Those canals and docks are very tricky.

Lost Rings on St. Pete Beach found

Anna and her husband Ryan were down to Tampa from Tifton, Georgia for their daughters gymnastics meet.

Since they had Saturday off they decided to head to St.Pete Beach for the day. Anna was sitting on a beach towel watching her daughter play and had taken her 3 rings off and put them in her lap. When she stood up to wave to her husband, away the rings flew into the deep sand.

Ryan googled lost ring and found SRARC where he contacted team member Stan Flack. With Ryan waiting at the beach keep guard, Stan headed as quickly as he could. A quick description of what had happened and Stan went to work, finding all 3 rings in minutes and within inches of each other. A relieved Anna jumped for joy. Another sad drive back home avoided.

45 Second Search Yields Lost Ring

Michael and his Wife Emily of Alexandria, VA were taking a short vacation to visit his 94 year old grandfather in Venice, FL then spend a couple of days at Treasure Island Resort.

Michael and Emily went out to the beach and shortly after arriving Michael went to the waters edge to wash his hands and his wedding ring slipped off his finger and out of sight. After searching the sand for a while he started googling “how to find gold rings in the sand and came across theringfinders.com website and contacted Tom Jones and asked if someone could help.

Tom met the couple later that afternoon, Michael told Tom exactly where he thought it was and 45 seconds after turning the detector on Tom finds the ring exactly where it it was supposed to be and returned it to the smiling pair.

The couple told Tom, “it is nice to know there are people like your group left in this world.”

This one took 45 seconds to recover.

A very happy couple!

Michael, Emily, Tom and of course, the ring.
