*** I got a call from Tara who had lost her diamond engagement ring at Hermosa Beach, CA. Her fiancé was with her at the beach when she took her ring off to put on sunscreen. The ring was in the sand near her beach chair but after four hours of searching with many others helping them, the ring would not reveal itself. Some one on the beach recommended that they contact a member of TheRingFinders.
I received the call and met they two of them at the location. We discussed the circumstances that led to the loss of the gold diamond ring. I set up my detector and began a scan. After a few minutes the ring showed up with the diamond glistening and visible in the dry sand. It must have been recently kicked up by one of us.

it was a special moment and both Tara and her fiancé were super happy and grateful that their ring wasn’t lost forever.. I love what I do..

**** We we’re vacationing in Newport Beach,CA.and y mom lost four small wedding bands while sitting at the beach for a day, After realizing the loss, she fretted all day and hesitated saying anything to our group because she’s assure they were gone forever. Around 10:00 pm she finally us about her missing rings and we knew we couldn’t find them ourselves. *** Steven called me asking how my metal detecting service works.  He wanted to know if I thought his ring would still be in the sand at The original muscle beach work out area. The ring was lost over a week ago and he had posted on a Facebook page called “the original muscle beach lost and found”  I had to be honest with him. That work out area known as the Original Muscle Beach is heavily hunted by recreational metal detectors and if he posted the location on a lost and found social media site, Chances of finding after a week were slim.

I could not justify driving the 50 miles to do a search the area. He understood and decided not ask me to do the search. 

Two days later I was at Santa Monica Beach finding a university class ring for Angela. After finding her ring I called Steven to tell him I was only a few blocks away from the Original Muscle Beach work out area. I was going to search the spot where he thought his ring had been lost.

I thought I cleared the area after finding a few coins and a generic stainless steel ring that didn’t look like a custom ring. Also it didn’t have any inscriptions as he verbally described it. I sent him a text that the ring didn’t show.

Fast forward two days later it was looking in some of my recent beach finds and I picked up that same ring. I put it in the light and used a magnifying loop to see a faint electronic inscription that matched what Steven said was on his ring. Crazy! I had found Steven’s ring in a place it should never had lasted a day without being found by others searching the popular location. To top it off it  took me two days to realize I had found it.. Anyway Steven has been notified and will be picking it up soon.

Lost Cartier Love Ring in Car .. Santa Ana, CA. .. Found Using an Endoscope by a Ringfinder Member.

Successful Lost Ring in Car Recovery ..  Santa Ana, CA.  By Ringfinders Member .. Call Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** Julie called me asking if I could help her find her Cartier Love ring that was lost in her car last December, ( 3 months ago ).. Many times people think the ring may have been lost in the car. This time Julie was sure she dropped the ring while sitting in the driver’s seat.

We set up a date to meet at her home in Santa Ana, CA. The car  was a Honda Van type vehicle.  I took my endoscope that has 4 different size camera heads and is able to record the search process. It’s a tedious search as it requires keeping a constant visual attention to the monitor screen. The recording video also helps review the search.

All these tools take a while to master, just as the metal detectors have a learning curve. It took an hour to locate the gold ring which had somehow ended up under the center console between the driver and passenger seats. When using a endoscope it is always a surprise when the ring just appears.

This was only part of the recovery. Even though I could see the ring in the endoscope monitor, I had no access to the underside of the console.Using several retrieving tools I carry, it still took almost 2 hours to coach the ring from underneath the console. Even though I had located the ring, I’m sure an auto mechanic would have charged plenty to remove the console to get the ring. Long story short we were able to find Julie’s Cartier Love Ring ( actually her wedding ring) .. You can the smile in her eyes even though she had to were a medical mask..
