Cartier wedding band returned to new groom! Denver

Brady was married 3 weeks ago and lost his Cartier gold wedding band in a Denver park while running. I searched Friday night with no luck and no access to the soccer field due to games. I came back the next day and found it in the soccer field. Brady was so happy he was running across the field to me fist pumping, reminding me of John Bender in The Breakfast Club. And from that point on I couldn’t get Don’t you forget about me by the Simple Minds out of my head. Thanks Brady.

2 rings lost in Wash park Denver found and returned!

Erin was visiting friends here in Colorado from Chicago over the weekend. They decided to spend some time in the very popular “Wash park” in Denver. They laid out a blanket and Erin decided to take the rings off to put lotion on. She had set them on the blanket and forgot about them. They were a Norte Dame class ring and a Claddaugh ring. Ring found and returned in Superior, Colorado!

Breanna lost her beautiful engagement ring in a large park while working out. Her workout spanned from the playground through the vast field and small hills while doing a band workout that included bear crawls. My partner Jeff and I spent a combined 27 hours searching before I ran across it. The couple even went out and bought their own detector to try to find it. On day 3 I decided to do a grid search since the area was so large. I had 2 steps left before I was going to call it a day when my detector screamed at me. I looked down I saw it shimmering through the thick grass. When I told Breanna she was in disbelief as was her fiancé. This was a very stressful long weekend for them that turned and hopefully someday be a great story. It really did take awhile for it to sink it that it was found. Happy tears, here’s to many happy years !

Recovered wedding set in Lochbuie, Colorado

I got a call from a young woman who lost her wedding set. She put her rings in her pant pocket, set her pants down to change to go into her pool. While she was in her pool her dog grabbed her pants and took them from the backyard around to the front of the house. She had a good idea of where they might be. When I arrived the entire yard was xeriscaped and under construction. There were roofing nails, screws and all kinds of building material everywhere. I started where she thought they could be which was in the front yard, with no success. On the side of the house there was a patch of hay and random trash, building material etc. After many signals from nails and screws I got a solid signal in the hay pile. One ring found….about 2 feet away in the hay was the other. She was so surprised I had found it so quickly, honestly so was I. Most of that time was trying to get the dog away from playing with the detector coil. 🙂 She was shy and did not want to show her face but was happy to model on her hand.

Ring found and return in Denver!!

Tom lost his ring in his yard over a month ago. He tried renting a detector but did not know how to use it to the best extent possible. It was a special ring and when his daughters found out they decided to buy him a new one while they were in Ireland. He still thought of that ring as special so he gave us a call. After talking to Tom about where he may have lost it in his backyard, I decided to search the whole perimeter. About halfway through the yard I found the ring not far from a tree. He was so happy to have his ring back and to have a new one from his daughters as well!

Found wedding band at Boulder reservoir

I was on my way back from spending a great weekend camping in Gunnison, Colorado when I got a call from a young man who’s wife lost her wedding band at Boulder reservoir. He had said they were spending a family day on the beach when she took her ring off to put on sunscreen. It was when they were leaving they realized she did not have her ring on.

I was almost 3 hours away from home and 4 hours away from them but they were willing to wait. They were 99% sure it was on the beach. I grabbed a coffee and headed for the road and continued on.

I arrived and he explained to me where they were and the path to the car. I am so thankful I had my detector but not much else for flagging. So I used my flip flops to mark a perimeter. After the obligatory Pull tab and a nail, I got a great signal about 5 feet from where they were sitting. As they were packing up the blanket was shook like most people do to get sand off and with the sand the ring followed. Thankfully it took less than 10 minutes.

It had been a long day for all of us but so worth seeing her smile. Definitely my favorite part of metal detecting.
