This ring find began when I got a text from Jennifer who is native to Oahu but currently resides in California. She asked how do your services work? I immediately called and she told me. While enjoying the cool waters at Hilton Hawaiian Village with her partner Jordan her White Gold Sapphire and Diamonds ring fell off in shallow water. In a panic she tried reaching into the sand and coral rubble to retrieve it and in the process her other White Gold & Diamonds ring also came off and disappeared. I told Jennifer I’d be off work at 1pm and we could meet anytime after that near the food truck in the parking lot which was just a few yards from the search area. Knowing this area is detected constantly I was thankful when a few targets especially pull tabs and two nickels showed up…the ring just might still be here. After about 40 minutes I completed the search area Jennifer showed me. While trying to decide what to do next Jennifer’s significant other Jordan asked if I had gotten to wear a little girl in a bright pink swim suit was snorkeling. I said just shy of that and I agreed to spread out the search area yet again. This time it paid off. On the 1st leg return I got the Sapphire & Diamonds ring. Then expanding from that point the Manticore picked out the all diamonds ring. Jennifer was so elated she told me she had to hold back her tears of relief and joy. Both rings were now back on her finger. Aloha to Jennifer & Jordan! Always expand that search area!!!

If you look up Angel up on Wikipedia, Joe’s picture would appear I’m sure of it! I am VERY thankful for Joe’s services and his kind heart, but most importantly, his persistence as he kept me hopeful with the details during the process of his search. As Joe mentioned from his storyline, I pointed a measurable (if you want to call it that) area I “thought” I lost the rings. Almost 2 hours in, no rings, but to Joe’s expertise, there were signs that indicated no one else could have search within the areas I pointed out. He asked again if I were sure of the exact location, how deep I was in, what my exact movement were as I lost the rings. Joe took as much details as I could remember and let me tell you, at the state of panic, it could have made any memory murky.
Defeated by humidity and populated tourist along the shoreline of the beach, it dawn to my partner that Joe could be searching in the wrong area.
Luckily, my partner pointed out an area he recalled that could have been the exact spot. Within 15-20 mins, Joe made eye contact with me, held up what looked like a very small circular coin, and smiled a huge smile I could never forget. It was the first ring I lost- the sapphire/diamond! 10 mins later, to Joe’s exhaustion, he made the same gesture from when he found my first ring, walked back to the shores as I ran from where I was watching. He gave me the courtesy of picking out my wedding band through the mix of rocks from his metal scooper. Behold, there it was as shiny as the day I received it. I couldn’t help but hug Joe tightly🥹 Thank you so much again Joe, your interest in this hobby sure has made a lot of people grateful as am I.
