Man’s lost platinum wedding ring found! Briar Cliff Manor,N.Y.

  • from Mahwah (New Jersey, United States)

imageimageStu was playing ball with his son in his large backyard in Briar Cliff Manor, N.Y. He removed his platinum wedding ring as it was irritating his finger as he caught the ball. He placed it in his pocket and at the end of the day reached in his pocket and the ring wasn’t there!

He searched the backyard with his son until sundown and then searched through the dark with a flashlight without any success. Stu located the Ringfinders site on the Internet and contacted me to search for his ring.

the first visit did not find the ring after a 2 hour search, I returned later in the weekend and after searching the entire backyard, I got a decent signal and searched through the grass and there was his ring! Cheers and smiles all around and another heart breaking incident avoided.

That has to be one of the best feelings to return a precious lost item to someone that may have given up all hope of ever seeing it again. Another day in the life of a Ringfinder.

image imageRamsey New Jersey was hit with a violent thunderstorm on Sunday,May 31 and Kyle’s crabapple tree lost a major branch.During the cleanup Kyle felt his wedding ring slip off. Hours of searching for the ring without finding  it prompted him to contact me to help in the recovery.

I met Kyle at his house on Monday ,June 1, 2015 to search for his ring. After checking the planting beds and front lawn,I approached the front door and found the ring hidden in the grass. Kyle was elated as he was about to leave for work and a business trip. The return of his ring put a whole new outlook to a rainy Monday.

On April 17, 2015  I received a call from Dan asking if I could help to find his lost Platinum wedding band. He told me the story of the lost ring.He and his wife had visited a natural pond  here in New Jersey. They were enjoying themselves swimming when Dan pushed off of the wall to swim further out.At that point he felt his ring leave his finger. The remainder of their visit was spent trying to locate the ring to no avail.

Dan returned at a later date with a mask and an underwater flashlight, but he had no success finding the ring. The operator of the pond told Dan that they would be draining the pond in the Spring.

Dan called me and we met at the pond on Sunday,April 26 to search in the now drained pond. After an initial search in the area that Dan  remembered swimming in, we did not locate the ring.I shifted my search area about 15 feet and in 5 minutes  had a good signal on my detector. I brushed away about 2 inches of mud right at the side of the wall and there was his ring!

What a feeling to hand Dan his previously lost ring and see his face light up. This made his day as well as mine .the total search time was 1 hour, time well spent!
