*** John came to Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, CA. He came early to enjoy as much of the cool day as possible. It has been very hot inland with temperatures over 100 degrees for weeks. He brought a small tent for his small son and to keep their belongs inside.

The lifeguards came on duty later that morning. They ask John if he could move their tent over 30 feet, which was not difficult. The only problem was, he realized his ring was missing from a pocket in the tent.

He called me to help him. I live very close, so I was there shortly after he contacted me. He explained exactly what had happen, showing me where the tent had been .. A few minutes later we had John’s white gold wedding band back where it belongs.

It was my pleasure to help him. I love what I do !!

Big Diamond Engagement Ring Lost in Waist Deep Surf .. Newport Beach, CA. .. Found 5 days later

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Katlyn’s husband, Jeff called The Metal Detector Man for help to find an expensive 3.2ct. diamond ring lost in the surf. If you need help call or text Stan 949-500-2136.

***Katlyn was with her daughter in waist deep water at Newport Beach when she lost her diamond engagement ring. She was devastated as she had forgotten to leave her ring at home as she normally does before going to the beach.

Her husband, Jeff called me at 8am the next morning. He told me it was a 3.2 ct. diamond ring and wasn’t insured. When I talked to him he told me the loss happened the day before at high tide. I checked the present high tide and it was a perfect low tide for a search. I was able to leave right away for the beach 15 minutes drive from my place.

When I arrived I saw two other metal detector guys searching the same location. After talking with one of the detectorists, he told me that the word was out that an expensive diamond ring was lost in the area yesterday.  The lifeguard and a resident of one the beachfront homes had told them about the loss. They did not have any contact information for the person that lost the ring. I made sure they could contact the person that lost the ring.

I did not find the ring that day and wasn’t sure that one of the other guys found the ring. I always advise people that call me to be careful who they tell about losing a valuable item. If they don’t find the ring right away they will need to get the word out with contact information ..Many people will return items if they know how to contact the owner.

Well, four days after the initial loss,I was on another search on the same beach. I dug a great sounding signal and it was Katlyn’s 3.2ct. diamond ring. It was maybe a half a block from where Jeff had told me Katlyn had realized her ring was missing. All is well, I found the ring. I had the contact information and was able to return this awesome ring to a happy grateful couple..

***Shelby lost her diamond engagement ring and wedding ring in the surf at Newport Beach, CA. She found my contact information online doing a  Google search for metal detecting service help Newport Beach.

After talking with Shelby we determined the loss occurred when she was waist deep at a high tide. The beach she was at is basically packed sand. So I had expectations of a successful recovery at the next low tide.

When I showed up later that evening there were two other guys with metal detectors working the low tide. I know there is always a chance they can find the ring. Not to worry, I know where the ring was lost, so I have an advantage.

Shortly after starting the search, I got a great signal, which turned out to be a beautiful 1.7ct solitare diamond ring and the gold diamond wedding ring , 18” apart. They were Shelby’s rings . I called her as soon as I could. She doesn’t need to worry any more than she has already. It was definitely my pleasure to help her find such special sentimental memory of her life.

Surfer Loses Tungsten Ring in Surf at Newport Beach . Found and Returned by Stan the Metal Detector Man

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Metal Detecting Service ready to help you now .. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** Chris called me asking for help to find his tungsten wedding ring .. He had been surfing at Newport Beach, CA. As he was coming out of the water he took off the top of his wetsuit then realized his wedding ring was missing. Some one on the beach recommended he contact Stan the metal Detector Man.

I was able to meet him before he left the beach. This was key to helping Chris find his ring. We had the general area where he had been and the action that may have caused the ring to come off his finger. There still was a possibility that his ring was outside in deep waster where he was catching surfing waves. I explained that I only could search the dry sand and water to 4 feet in the surf.

After a half hour I was able to find his ring.. We were lucky because the ring probably came off when he pulled his arm out of the wetsuit while standing in shallow surf. As usual Chris had given up and was very surprised that his ring was found in that location.. After surfing in deeper water for more than an hour, it could have been outside in waters too deep and turbulent to use a metal detector

.
