I received a text Thanksgiving eve asking if I could help find a wedding ring Lost in a back yard after the husband was doing yard work removing landscaping and noticed his ring was gone! We agreed to meet Friday just after the holidays to give it a search.

Promptly arriving and meeting the nice family I was shown a few prospective areas that it may of been lost at a week earlier…There were many probabilities,Not just the amount of excess leaves, branches, bushes, shrubs, plants,Rebar,Nails, but Metal Detectors near sodium lights and Homes will interfere and give false signals that makes problems to even your average Hobbyists Metal detector guy.

After going through the first possible areas in the front yard I had found confidence that it’s not there. The second place to scan over is where he had first started to cut and remove debris. I began the search and heard 2 strong signals inches apart that were ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals so I reached down to the most likely target sounding like a Platinum ring using a hand held metal detector pinpointer And there was a shiny Wedding ring buried under vegetation!

They were so happy and in shock but Shockingly so was I to find this so fast. It only took just a 20 minute hunt to find his lost platinum wedding ring of 14yrs buried in San Diego! What a great service to be a member of and it’s such an Honor that I can help others in need.

It Was a hot Summer day in Sunny California.I had just got home after a 4hr hunt searching for some lost yellow coins when I received a message from Morgan who was at the beach with family and friends,he asked if I could help find a Ring that was lost by a younger daughter I said Yes,I can be there in 30min.I sailed off & picked up My buddy John for back up because sometimes our searches can take many hours/days/months especially with the timing, sunsetting and tide coming up many variables can take place….

Upon arrival We met Morgan and the very nice family enjoying a day at Cardiff beach, they showed us the small area in the dry sand where she lost it.They tell us its a gold ring that was passed down from her mother.Wow.

I was well Equipped with an A.P.I.  Advanced pulse Induction Machine that sends 720 pulses per second has 96 frequencies and loves Gold…So I began my search, dragged my sand scoop once and found her ring ..immediately!

The smiles 🙂 🙂 were lighting up and her Family heirloom ring was back on her finger just like that! What an awesome Day for everyone. If only every search and recovery for us was that easy!

Thanks to the San Diego lifeguards for referring TheRingFinders and all the P.R John Hughes & T.R.F has done for the community.

San Diego Metal Detector found Lost Wedding Ring in CA

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

July 13th  10:00 p.m

I was out Searching For a long lost class ring in Oceanside when My phone blows up From John Hughes and a couple who Lost a Men’s Platinum Ring in the sand.I emediatley Responded.First thing In the morning I met Ted the owner who knew the rough area he had lost it and he saidimage image

This is his 2nd time losing it,the first time he lost it in Newport Beach out in the ocean and a metal detector By the name of Stan Ross from TheRingfinders.com found it nearly a week later! I told him he was a lucky guy to to meet a Legend like Stan.

This looked like a very easy search,In the dry sand, 35’x15′ foot area away from the water and crowds but One major concern I had to explain before I began my search…This beach I know well and often see many local Hobbie detectorist at night/midnight/am and because This ring was lost 3 days ago who knows if it is still in the sand?

So I began searching Using my Garrett V.L.F detector for nearly 15 minutes I have not even heard one piece of metal, trash, coin WOW this beach Has been cleaned. So I move further towards the trail and get my first signal a

(Solid scratchy Foil sound) wich I like to hear and I always dig trashy pull tab -aluminum sounds.. Why? …I take 1 scoop and There’s teds Platinum ring :).

Meanwhile Ted was enjoying the scenic view taking pictures of the Ocean and the nice sunny morning when I walked up with his ring…  We both smile and laughed I Told him He got lucky again !

I Must say, Thanks to The « Mistro » Stan Ross and John Hughes « King Neptune » for the opportunity to Help others.
