Michael and his friends, Fonzie and Caden, were throwing the ball in waist-deep water at Clearwater Beach. Michael was wearing a gold cross on a chain which was handed down to him by his father, who had received it when he was 16 years old. The chain came off, and as it fell, Fonzie managed to catch it, but the cross fell into the water. All three boys searched until dark, but were unable to locate the heirloom cross. Caden’s parents knew Mike and Mary Shuler were metal detectorists and told them about the situation. Mike responded to the site with fellow detectorist Ed Osmar, but the cross was not found. Mike decided to wait until the evening low tide and invite more help. That’s when Mike Miller, Howard Metts, Bill Gallant, and Mike’s wife, Mary, joined the hunt. After two hours of hunting in the rough water, Mike Miller came up with the cross! We’re very glad that Michael is reunited with this beautiful family heirloom!

Shannon lost his gold ring in the water while tossing a ball. SRARC received a call from the heartbroken couple and a hunt was set up by Joe and Ed. After the area was laid out with a grid by Ed, the hunt began. A few minutes in the water, Joe found the ring. Today was a very special day. Nine years ago, Shannon and Hope were married here in Florida. A great way to start the New Year.

Jordan and Lindsay were visiting Clearwater Beach while on their vacation from Kansas City. Before running into the surf, Jordan removed his platinum wedding band and carefully folded it into his shirt. When it was time to leave Jordan gathered his belongings and headed off the beach. It wasn’t long before he realized his ring was missing, and hours of digging through the sand where his cabana had been proved fruitless. Randy Cooper (Jordan’s father in-law)found the SRARC website and shared it with Jordan and Lindsay, who quickly contacted Joe Szemer. Joe put out the call to the Ringfinders, and Mike Shuler and Bill Gallant met with Jordan at the site about an hour later. Jordan had wisely outlined the area of the loss in the sand, and in less than five minutes, an emotional Jordan was wearing his ring again!

Lola was playing with her sister on the sandbar behind her family’s beach home when she felt the ring slip off her finger. This ring had been given to her by her grandmother, who had brought it over from Poland. Lola found Ringfinders online and contacted Joe Szemer to schedule a hunt. Two hours later, Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler met with Lola and her mother at their home and began to search for the lost heirloom. 42 minutes later (Lola’s mother was timing us), Bill had the ring in his scoop. He walked it back to the shore, where he was greeted with cheers and hugs!

Joe and his family were staying at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort to relax on the beach and visit friends. On the last day of their vacation, Joe was playing football with his son when the ring flew off his finger and into the Gulf. The ring had an inlay of meteorite and was very special to him. A frantic search of the internet led Joe to Ringfinders. It was nearly dark, so a search was arranged for the following morning. Joe and his family had already departed for their home in New Jersey, but Mike Shuler, Bill Gallant, and Ed Osmar responded to the site and within 10 minutes, Mike had the ring in his scoop. Joe could hardly believe it when he got the call that his ring was recovered, and was thrilled that it would soon be shipped home!Lost Ring Indian Rocks Beach IRB, Recovered By SRARC
