*** John came to Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, CA. He came early to enjoy as much of the cool day as possible. It has been very hot inland with temperatures over 100 degrees for weeks. He brought a small tent for his small son and to keep their belongs inside.

The lifeguards came on duty later that morning. They ask John if he could move their tent over 30 feet, which was not difficult. The only problem was, he realized his ring was missing from a pocket in the tent.

He called me to help him. I live very close, so I was there shortly after he contacted me. He explained exactly what had happen, showing me where the tent had been .. A few minutes later we had John’s white gold wedding band back where it belongs.

It was my pleasure to help him. I love what I do !!

Big Diamond Engagement Ring Lost in Waist Deep Surf .. Newport Beach, CA. .. Found 5 days later

Katlyn’s husband, Jeff called The Metal Detector Man for help to find an expensive 3.2ct. diamond ring lost in the surf. If you need help call or text Stan 949-500-2136.

***Katlyn was with her daughter in waist deep water at Newport Beach when she lost her diamond engagement ring. She was devastated as she had forgotten to leave her ring at home as she normally does before going to the beach.

Her husband, Jeff called me at 8am the next morning. He told me it was a 3.2 ct. diamond ring and wasn’t insured. When I talked to him he told me the loss happened the day before at high tide. I checked the present high tide and it was a perfect low tide for a search. I was able to leave right away for the beach 15 minutes drive from my place.

When I arrived I saw two other metal detector guys searching the same location. After talking with one of the detectorists, he told me that the word was out that an expensive diamond ring was lost in the area yesterday.  The lifeguard and a resident of one the beachfront homes had told them about the loss. They did not have any contact information for the person that lost the ring. I made sure they could contact the person that lost the ring.

I did not find the ring that day and wasn’t sure that one of the other guys found the ring. I always advise people that call me to be careful who they tell about losing a valuable item. If they don’t find the ring right away they will need to get the word out with contact information ..Many people will return items if they know how to contact the owner.

Well, four days after the initial loss,I was on another search on the same beach. I dug a great sounding signal and it was Katlyn’s 3.2ct. diamond ring. It was maybe a half a block from where Jeff had told me Katlyn had realized her ring was missing. All is well, I found the ring. I had the contact information and was able to return this awesome ring to a happy grateful couple..

***Shelby lost her diamond engagement ring and wedding ring in the surf at Newport Beach, CA. She found my contact information online doing a  Google search for metal detecting service help Newport Beach.

After talking with Shelby we determined the loss occurred when she was waist deep at a high tide. The beach she was at is basically packed sand. So I had expectations of a successful recovery at the next low tide.

When I showed up later that evening there were two other guys with metal detectors working the low tide. I know there is always a chance they can find the ring. Not to worry, I know where the ring was lost, so I have an advantage.

Shortly after starting the search, I got a great signal, which turned out to be a beautiful 1.7ct solitare diamond ring and the gold diamond wedding ring , 18” apart. They were Shelby’s rings . I called her as soon as I could. She doesn’t need to worry any more than she has already. It was definitely my pleasure to help her find such special sentimental memory of her life.

Surfer Loses Tungsten Ring in Surf at Newport Beach . Found and Returned by Stan the Metal Detector Man

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Metal Detecting Service ready to help you now .. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

*** Chris called me asking for help to find his tungsten wedding ring .. He had been surfing at Newport Beach, CA. As he was coming out of the water he took off the top of his wetsuit then realized his wedding ring was missing. Some one on the beach recommended he contact Stan the metal Detector Man.

I was able to meet him before he left the beach. This was key to helping Chris find his ring. We had the general area where he had been and the action that may have caused the ring to come off his finger. There still was a possibility that his ring was outside in deep waster where he was catching surfing waves. I explained that I only could search the dry sand and water to 4 feet in the surf.

After a half hour I was able to find his ring.. We were lucky because the ring probably came off when he pulled his arm out of the wetsuit while standing in shallow surf. As usual Chris had given up and was very surprised that his ring was found in that location.. After surfing in deeper water for more than an hour, it could have been outside in waters too deep and turbulent to use a metal detector

.

If you have lost something give me a call. We can discuss the circumstances and conditions of the search area to determine if we have a chance to find your valuable. Stan the Metal Detector Man ..  949-500-2136 .. Available 7/24 to help you.

Cellphone with Credit Cards Lost on First Day of Vacation .. Found by Ringfinder

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

If you have lost any metal item that’s important to you .. Call or text ASAP.. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

Venessa and Heather’s family were vacationing at Sunset Beach, Orange County, CA. They were staying for a week in a beach front rental. The first evening of their stay Heather’s husband lost his celphone that had his credit cards in the case.

Venessa called me asking for help the next morning.  They had videos that showed the iPhone in his back pocket ready to dislodge from his pocket.

The most likely spot didn’t reveal the phone. No problem, he was positive of the limits of his actions that night. Maybe a third of a football field. Could take a little time but I knew it would show up if it had not been picked up. The area did not have much foot traffic, so I wasn’t worried about that.

It did take an hour and a half but it could have been quicker if I started from the left instead of starting on the right side of the zone. Vacation saved ! It was my pleasure to be available to help them.

Call or text now, I will answer the call.. Timing is important especially in a public area. It is possible to search an area even if you can’t be there. Don’t give up, we can discuss all the possibilities of recovering your most sentimental item.. I WILL TRY ANYWHERE”

Lost Necklace and Pendant Found for Owner at Playa Del Rey Beach, CA.

If you lose something that a metal detector can be used to find ? Call an experienced metal detector expert .. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136

Jake lives a couple blocks from the beach at Playa Del Rey, one of the Los Angeles County beaches. He often does a sunset swim in the ocean. He called me after losing a special necklace with a pendant in the dry sand.

It seemed he had taken off his necklace laying it with his t-shirt and towel at shoreline.

He called me at 10:30 pm asking for help. It sounded like a search I could do the next morning but he was anxious to do it that night.

I met him at 11:30pm and we had the cherished necklace and pendant shortly after starting the search.

Jake told me that this was special to him as it was a gift from his grandfather many years ago.. It is always rewarding to hear how sentimental these keepsakes are.. When I see people wearing jewelry I know it’s not a piece of metal or nice looking stone. Most often it has a special story or meaning to the person that is wearing it. It was my pleasure to help Jake.

Prescription Sunglasses Dropped Off Dock into Bay .. Newport Beach, CA. Recovered by Ringfinder

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Newport Beach Ring Finder Stan Ross .. Mobile Metal Detecting Service .. Call or Text Now .. 949-500-2136

*** I was at my favorite taco shop having lunch when Eric called asking for help to find a pair of expensive prescription sunglasses. My first question was, where are you? He told me Malibu Farms Resturant. I thought it would be located in Malibu. I told him could not drive that far as I had another appointment this afternoon.

He called me back saying the Malibu Farms Lido is located in Newport Beach, CA. near Lido Island. I was two miles from his location, so met him a few minutes later. He told me he set his sunglasses on his dockside table. A few minutes later he knock the glasses off his table into the water..  I wasn’t sure what the conditions were or how deep the water was.

When I got to the floating dock. I had difficulty seeing the bottom because of the reflections and glare on the surface. I did know the tide was falling but the bottom was still too deep to retrieve anything without getting in the water.

I took time to go back to my car for my sand scoop which is about 5 ft. long. Meanwhile the tide is receding about one foot an hour.  By the time I returned the bottom was only 3 feet deep. I could see the sunglasses. I did not use the scoop to retrieve the glasses for fear I would damage them. There was a random stick floating nearby and that’s what was used to get the glasses out of the water. We were lucky to have the tides working in our favor. When the glasses were dropped it was close to 7 ft. deep. The water level dropped about 4 ft. saving the trouble of diving for the loss item.

Eric was very happy to get his favorite glasses back. He told me a lady at the resturant gave him my contact information.   I had found two rings lost at a park in the lake four years ago.

Possible Buried Treasure in Backyard .. Cleared for Peace of Mind .. South Gate, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Many people don’t understand how a metal detector service works. Feel free to call so we can discuss the possibilities using a professional metal detectorist to help you find your important lost jewelry or any metal item. “I WILL TRY ANYWHERE “ ..  Mobile Metal Detecting available to help you now … 949-500-2136

*** Marie’s father had dementia the last years of his life. There were rumors that he may have buried valuables in the backyard. Marie is living in the same property and was getting ready to have a cement patio installed over the area of the yard where the treasure may have been buried.

She called me telling me that they had checked the area with a rented metal detector. She was not sure how well the detector worked. They had difficulty operating the detector. She wanted a professional metal detector expert to check the area.

I came to check the area two days before the contractor was going to pour the concrete. Our agreement was, I would only scan the area with my equipment. They would dig the locations I marked up..

A few days later Marie sent me photos of the metal items that were buried in the yard. No treasure, but peace of mind, that they didn’t cover up a treasure with a cement slab.

.. I was detecting on the beach when two guys approached me. I was ready for the big question, “ what’s the best thing you’ve ever found.” They only wanted to know if I could walk over to the firepits to help a member of their party find a set of wedding rings. She believed they might be where she had been most the day, although she had gone to the water earlier that afternoon.

It was about 9 pm and the beach will close at 10pm. There must have been 20 or more people in their group. They had all tried their luck at finding the ring. The clock was ticking and they all thought bit was useless to think the ring set would show up before they had to leave.

I set up my detector and immediately started getting signals from tin foil and pull tabs. My audience was watching my every move, waiting for a successful recovery. A short time after I started I got the best signal of the night. Right under where Ruth had been sitting. Two white gold wedding rings soldered together gave me a strong signal in my Minelab Manticore metal detector.

Ruth was next to me so I held up the sand scoop asking her to look in the scoop. With the light from my headlamp her white gold diamond rings were shining at the bottom of my scoop. She let out a screen of joy and that set off a screening frenzy form all her friends. Another great night time recovery being at the right place at the right time.
