If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Emma joined a group of friends at Holmes Beach for Memorial day festivities in a private compound right on the beach. She was with a close group of friends one of which was the grand daughter of the owners. They all walked out to the beach and setup chairs and were just enjoying each other and the hot sun. Some of them decided to go for a swim and Emma removed the ring that her mother had passed down to her and set it on the chair arm. Now this was no plain old ring, it had been given to her mother by her father way back when they were high school sweethearts. Emma raced off with her friends and swam for a while and when she returned to her chair the ring was gone. Maybe someone had bumped the chair or moved it and the ring had just disappeared. They all looked through the sand but could not find it. On the following Tuesday, Mike Miller came into the same area to search for a different persons lost wedding ring which had been lost on the outer sand bar. Turned out the water was to deep for Mike to hunt so he paddled back to shore and decided to do a little sand hunting while he dried out. He was soon approached by a woman telling him the story about Emma’s lost ring. She pointed out the area she thought it had been lost in and sure enough a few minutes later up came the ring. She was over joyed and took Mike to the house where Emma’s friend was still staying and the ring was put into her hands for safe keeping. I am pretty sure Emma and her parents will be very excited and happy when they hear the good news.

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Dora, JR, and Edmond were over from Texas for a little family visit and some much needed R & R at the Florida beaches. They set up a cover at Cortez Beach, Anna Maria Island and then played and went for a swim. As the day came to an end, Dora grabbed her Cutoff’s and put them on over her Swim suit, helped to pack up their gear and they all left the beach. When they reached the car, JR asked Dora for his wedding ring which he had put into her cutoff’s pocket. Dora had no idea he had done that so she paid no attention when getting dressed after the swim. She rushed back to the spot where they and sat and looked with no luck and then noticed Mike Detecting about 100 ft away. She asked Mike if he would look for the lost ring and he agreed to help. A few minutes later she had the ring in her hand a big smile on her face. Another happy ending for some of our friends from Texas.

Matt, his wife Tracey and Chris, his wife Amy came down from Indiana to enjoy Fall break with their children here in Florida. Chris and family went to Orlando to investigate the theme parks and Matt and family came to Anna Maria Island. Since they were friends, Matt invited Chris and family for a day at the beach. After they arrived from Orlando, both families headed together to the beach. They got settled on the sand and Matt and Chris headed out into the water and started throwing a football back and forth. On one of the throws, Chriss saw and felt his Gold and Platinum wedding ring fly of his finger. He knew right where it went into the water so he stood right there. They searched and searched but in the end could not find the ring. Later that evening Chris and family had to return to Orlando without his ring. Later that evening Matt googled “lost Rings on Anna Maria” and found SRARC Ring Finders. He contacted Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller who then did a callout for hunters. Mike Shuler, Dane Trask, and Mike all came together and meet Matt at the location the ring was lost. They got the information about where the ring was lost and went to work. About 20 minutes later Mike Miller got the sweet sound of Platinum in his ears and up came the lost ring in his scoop. There were lots if smiles as we waked back into the beach with the ring held high in the air. We don’t know when Chris will find out he has had his ring returned because we understand his wife Amy has some trickery planned, but we are sure he will end up with a great big smile on his face too.

They all meet at a local B & B on Holmes Beach and on their first evening together headed out to the beach to watch the sunset. They had set up their chairs and got some drinks out of the cooler when Sarah remembered that she had not removed her engagement ring. She quickly took it off and handed it to her fiancé, Tyler, who put it into his wallet and zipped it closed. They enjoyed the warm evening watching the sunset and reminiscing about their college days. When it came time to go Sarah asked for her ring and Tyler unzipped his wallet and to their surprise it was not in the wallet. They all searched and searched but could not find it in the dry sand. As it began to get dark. Brenna googled “lost ring Anna Maria Island” and up popped SRARC ring finders. She called Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller. Mike left immediately for the beach and was soon greeted by the gang. He quickly went to work and within a few minutes had the ring back on Sarah’s finger. When the ring came out of the sand, there was much laughter and many smiles. SRARC is so glad we were able to turn this disaster into a happy memory.

Ryan and his friend were having a slow day at work, so they took the afternoon off and went to South Lido Beach in Sarasota. After warming in the sun, they started to play Jai alai in the water. As they tossed the ball back and forth Ryan felt his wedding ring slip off his finger. He stood right where he was and then methodically looked for his ring. After 2 hours he gave up and headed back home. Later that evening his wife found SRARC Ring Finders on the internet and Ryan called Joe Szemer. Joe put out a callout and Mike Miller responded. Arrangements were made to meet the next morning and Mike hunted for four hours with no luck. Mike made arrangements with Mike Schuler and Ed Osmar to meet a couple of days later. They divided the area up into three smaller chunks and went at it again. An hour later Mike Schuler let out a yell and held the ring into the air with triumph. Ryan was not there to join the team to celebrate but when he got the news he was overjoyed. A few days later Ryan returned to town and we were able to give him back this most prized possession.

Matt was down with his wife and baby for a first time visit to Anna Maria Island from Orlando. It was the first day of open beach on the Island as the Covid 19 restrictions were loosened. They were enjoying sitting in the sun and feeling the cool breeze coming off the Gulf of Mexico. Suddenly Matt noticed his wedding ring was missing and they began to search through the sand for it. Time was getting short since they needed to leave soon to return to Orlando when Matt found SRARC on the internet and contacted Howard Metts. Howard contacted Mike Miller and Mike headed for the beach right away. After meeting at the beach and walking to the location Mike took about 6 or 8 swings and found the ring. SRARC is happy that the ring was found so quickly and the family was able to keep on schedule to return home with smiles on their faces.

Ring Lost In Bradenton, Recovered By SRARC

Carl was washing the dog in his driveway in Bradenton. As he scrubbed, his hand flew up and his ring went flying out into the yard. This was his step fathers wedding ring given to him by Carl’s mother. It had been handed down to Carl after his mother had passed. Carl was very close to his step father who came into the family with a very interesting past. The family was living in Germany during Hitler’s rise and Carl’s step father and one brother were able to escape to the USA but lost all other family members in Auschwitz. He joined the US armed forces and ended up in the 101 Airborne Division. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge and also the capture of Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest. Carl held this ring with great respect and was heartbroken over it’s loss. Carl goggled the internet and found SRARC ring finders and was shortly connected with Howard Mett’s. Howard called for a hunt and Mike Miller responded. Mike met Carl at the site and Carl described where he thought the ring had landed. After going over the area several times with no luck we were loosing hope. Mike started checking the flower beds that were close to the area but nothing popped out. They started ripping the shrubs out so more of the ground could be covered and as the last of the bushes came Mike got a good hit. Carl was overjoyed as Mike help the ring up. Needless to say, Carl was grinning from ear to ear. SRARC is proud to return something so important to Carl but also to help keep the memory alive of one of our brave military veterans.
