Husband loses his wedding band into the rough waters of Wasaga beach #1, Wasaga Beach, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Brian and his Family from Montreal, Quebec were visiting Ontario’s Wasaga Beach #1 for a vacation.

He was playing football knee deep on a very windy day which produced heavy waves and an undertow.

I was called the next day and attended the location but knew I had my work cut out for me as with the previous days conditions I knew the sand 200 feet would be dumped closer to shore which we called the beach was “sanded in”!

I was grid searching with no luck and made another attempt the following weekend. Same result – NO LUCK.

I reached out to the regular metal detecting community in this area and offered my call out fee for the hopeful return of Brian’s wedding band.

This Family touched me because Brian‘s Wife is a survivor of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer! In the last 4 years, all my successful Ring Finders call outs I do not take the reward for finding the lost item! Instead, I asked the client to pay it forward with an immediate online donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation in which the client then receives a tax receipt. This is how I raise money for this wonderful charity that assists patients with the financial struggles of fighting this terrible disease!!

A short time later was contacted by Joe P from the Wasaga Group that he had just found the wedding band. I confirmed with Joe the inside markings of Brian’s wedding day “08-30-08”

check out the video;

AMAZING!!!! I gladly gave up my call out fee to receive Brian’s wedding band back!! I thank you so very much Joe for graciously returning the very sentimental wedding band!

I always recommend ring owners to have some kind of markings inside as an identifier!!

The wedding band was shipped back to Brian and he’s one happy guy!
