It was a lazy Sunday afternoon until it wasn’t. I got a call from Christian who was leaving Santa Barbara to go back home to Golden Colorado. On the last day of his families vacation he had been digging in the sand on north side of the pier at West Beach in Santa Barbara when he discovered his Platinum wedding band was gone. They tried frantically to search in the sand but platinum rings are heavy and every push of the sand just served to bury it further out of reach.
