*** Sarah and Joe were vacationing at Laguna Beach from New York. She lost a gold nail design bracelet during a walk on the sandy beach. It made their stay a little upsetting as this was Sarah’s favorite bracelet.

The day after the loss she contacted me from the airport while waiting to board their flight home. Sarah was able to send me a marked up screen shot of the area where she believed the loss occurred. I was able tell her what chances we have to find the item. On public beaches our chances of successful recoveries  can be compromised by other detectors or beach sifting machines. Most times I can eliminate an area, especially sandy beaches.

This was one of those miracle finds. Such a large target could have been easily found by the cleaning machines or a tourist picking up sea shells. The bracelet was exactly where she  marked up the Google map screen shot. Usually these type recoveries are never where they think they are. It doesn’t take long to eliminate a specific area. This time it was worth the drive and a 20 minute grid search.

I was able to mail the bracelet back to Sarah and Joe. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a photo of them smiling, so  I’m including a selfie of me.

*** Jason was visiting friends at Newport Beach. They had a beach front rental where they had a big birthday party set up for a whole day. Early in the day he lost a sentimental Buddha pendant while playing football in the sand.

Later that afternoon just before sunset, Jason contacted me. I was able to meet him and it was already dark.  He showed me a large area where he believed the pendant was lost.

He couldn’t stay on the beach because the birthday celebration was beginning. Actually there was nothing he could do to help me. I had all the information I needed .

After about one hour of thoroughly grid searching the large area of sand, the pendant showed up. Jason showed up just as I was heading over to meet him at the party house.

He was elated and I could see his eyes water up with emotion. He told me this was special because his mother had worn it for years in Vietnam before passing it off to him.

***Carolyn was with her friends on a small beach at Balboa Island. She had 4 rings that she had taken off, putting them on the edge of her towel. While she was away from her towel, one of her friends moved the towel, not knowing the rings were on the towel.

She was able to find two of the rings. The other two rings had disappeared. She was frustrated after a couple hours of searching. Then it was time to go to the internet for ideas to find rings in beach sand. My contact information was listed in the Newport Beach area.

After a short conversation, Carolyn gave me an address minutes away from my base. She waited for me and within 30 minutes I was able to find both rings. Another happy lady that was surprised that there is a metal detecting service available in Newport Beach. Google helps people in many ways.

*** Master Key for maintaining restrooms and city facilities lost in beach sand. Found and returned to a city worker. I got a call from a worker at a Southern California beach. He was concerned that his job may be in jeopardy if his boss found out he lost this important master key..

After hearing that he was sure the key had to be in the sand at a certain volleyball court, I told him we had a chance to find it with a metal detector.

He was unable to meet me at the location which wasn’t a problem. He was able to give me the number of the volleyball court.

I drove 5 miles to the location and was able to find the key before dark. Also I found a maintenance rake that was left at the volleyball court.

We were able to meet that same night to return his key.. and the rake.

Two Small Diamond Stud Earrings Recoveref at San Clemente State Beach

Another successful recovery after calling a member of the Ringfinders .. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. Call or text for prompt response  24/7 .. 949-500-2136

*** Erin needed help finding a set of two diamond stud earrings. After a quick conversation with him, I believed the loss occurred in a totlot play area. He sent me an address to get me to the place where he could meet me. It was possible to meet him before dark, so I left for the 24 mile drive soon after talking to him.

When I got to the address, it was actually San Clemente State Beach. Erin cleared up my idea that I would be searching a small totlot. He had to walk me out on the main beach. I noticed that he was having trouble finding where he been. He was sure that the earrings had been on his towel and they dropped in the sand when he picked up the towel.

He started me in one area, but soon grabbed me moving me 50 ft. to the south. I’m glad I was using my high frequency metal detector and the earrings still had backings on. ( more metal ) Many times we have a second earring to check our settings are correct for finding small jewelry.

It did take a few minutes to find both earrings. They were more than 15 feet from each other. A big beach area could be a much more difficult search than a small totlot. Erin was very happy and excited to have these sentimental earrings found. They were given to him by his mother who had recently passed away.

Sentimental Silver Ring Lost in Sand .. Orange County Beach, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Mobile metal detecting at your location.. Stan 949-500-2136

** This was the second time that Erin had called me for help finding a lost item in the sand. The first time was unsuccessful as she had been many other places the day she lost a bracelet. I could only eliminate the beach sand area.

This time Erin was positive her sentimental silver ring was on the beach because she had taken it off to apply sunscreen. Our problem was to get back to the general location. Erin could not meet me till later that afternoon.

I went as soon as I finished talking to her. I had a cross street name and my best clue was she had been near a volleyball court.  It was worth my time , because her ring was recovered in less than an hour. It was my privilege to find and return Erin’s ring. She was so excited and grateful to have her ring returned.

Gold and Diamond Engagement Ring Saved from the Sand at Southern California Beach

Prompt Metal Detecting Service available now.. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. Call or text 949-500-2136.

**Loran had been sitting in her beach chair at Newport Beach when she dropped her diamond engagement ring in the sand. She was devastated because she has only had the ring for 5 months. Her fiancé , Barry had borrowed a beginner level metal detector and was not able to find the ring.

They called me after finding my contact information  on line with a Google search. I met them within 30 minutes and it was a successful recovery. Timing is important with these losses on the beach towel line as the beach cleaning machines maintain this area daily. Also entry level metal detectors do not work well with small items in the mineralized beach sand.

On my local beaches, I have to respond to calls as soon as possible.   Rings lost in back yards or private property can be recovered days or years later. The other day I found a diamond ring in a sofa that was lost 11 years ago.

Gold and Diamond Bracelet Recovered from Water Newport Beach Back Bay

*** Martha and her husband were boarding a small electric boat for a evening cruise of the Newport Beach Back Bay, Orange County, California.

As she stepped  off the dock onto the Duffy Boat she felt her gold diamond bracelet slip off her wrist and heard it splash in the water.

When they returned, Martha got online, calling me for help. The location was less than a mile from my home. We met at 9pm to access the location for a recovery attempt as soon as possible. The tide was highest of the day and it would be 6 ft. lower tomorrow in the daytime.

This search would require several hours to prepare for a dive, so we met the next afternoon. I brought my diving / detecting gear and Rudy who would be my dive buddy. Rudy is learning to search with my equipment and he will be my back up diver when I can’t get to a dive search.

Our plan was to switch off diving for the bracelet. I wanted Rudy do the first dive. Fifteen minutes into the session, Rudy came up with the beautiful gold diamond bracelet. He got to experience the joy of returning a very sentimental piece of jewelry.

I now have myself and two other divers that I can count on to cover these dive recoveries. Dive recoveries take so much preparation. It’s always good to have backup divers that can also be present. Dive detecting needs a buddy diver or at least a dive spotter.

Residents in Newport Beach call metal detecting expert to help finding items lost in the sand.. Call now if you need help ..

*** Bob lives a block away from the sand in Newport Beach. He loves to body surf in the waves a couple times a week. His habit is to leave his towel on the dry sand with his house keys, which he has done for years.

This time was different because he could not find his house keys after drying off. The keys were on a long necklace size chain which should have been an easy find. Nevertheless his house keys could not be located by a hand search.

He called me and I was able to meet him shortly after he called.  It didn’t take long to find the house keys using my metal detector. Bob was happy to get the keys back, so he didn’t have to break into his house..
