Lost necklace in morgantown wv found in the snow

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

I received a text  from a girl who said she had lost an important necklace in the snow in Morgantown, West Virginia and wanted to know if I could help her find it. I gave her my phone number and had her give me a call. After talking to her on the phone, I gave her the number of a ring finder that was in Pittsburgh, which was only an hour and a half away compared to the 3 Hour drive to Morgantown that I would have. I told her if he could not do it then let me know. Well, she got back with me and stated that he could not do the the search so I asked her details about what had happened and how she lost it. She stated that she and her friend got into a snowball fight and her friend was trying to shove a snowball down her shirt and of course, she did not realize at that time that the necklace had broke. The Cross pendant had fell at that point, but the necklace was still hanging around her neck. They only lived two blocks away from the establishment that they were leaving, and when she got to the house that they are renting, she fell on the steps. They apparently have some sort of surveillance because she said the next day they looked at the video and noticed that the necklace was gone before she fell.

She also told me that they went back to the parking lot to try to find it, and the owner of the parking lot had plowed all the snow into a big pile. She told me that she was heading back home to Virginia on Tuesday, but I could not make it until Wednesday to look for it. I was worried that if she lost it in the parking lot and it was not in the snow pile that when the snow melted, somebody would see it in the parking lot or on the sidewalk and pick it up, so I told her that I would go ahead and head up on Wednesday to look for it even though she would not be there. She gave me the phone number to her roommate and her name in case I found it. So I head up that way around 6:45AM and get there around 9:30 Wednesday morning and found the necklace in a big snow covered crack in the parking lot. Took me about 20 minutes to find it. I called the roommate and she came down and met me in the parking lot and I gave her the cross necklace and she said that she was going to see her on Saturday and she was going to surprise her with it. The owner does not know that I found it. The roommate also asked me if she had told me about the cross and I said no, just that it was important. She told me that her grandmother gave that necklace to her when her grandmother was very ill and she was giving her her last goodbyes before her grandmother passed away!! That is why she has been extremely upset ever since she lost it.

Lost wedding ring found in Bartlett

Wedding band that was lost in January has been found.

I received a call from Amanda asking for my help. Her husband had lost his beautiful custom made wedding band back in January in a dog kennel. They tried a cheap metal detector on their own but had trouble with all the metal fencing. She finally googled and found our website

https://theringfinders.com/Steve.Wagner/

Here is her story

My husband was laying hay for the winter for our dog on January 10th 2025…..he was taking string off hay and it fell…we went to harbor freight and bought a metal detector and tried for days and even bribed my younger kids… my kids looked for 5 hours one day… I even bribed my friend who looked all day… then I looked up metal detector services and I found Steve… Steve was coming out the same day because he could tell I had been stressed for months… I custom made this ring for my husband and when Steve came he found it within 20-25 mins of him looking… super professional and caring

I received a text from a young lady needing help finding her husband wedding band he lost while playing kickball with his 2 boys 3 days ago!! Here is her story

On the evening of April 24th, my husband lost his wedding ring while playing kickball with our two young sons. He mentioned feeling it slide off his finger; however, given the activity, it was possible it had been lost earlier while throwing the ball. After an unsuccessful search Thursday night, I purchased a basic metal detector from Harbor Freight, quickly realizing that metal detecting is far more challenging than it appears.

Despite searching throughout Friday, we were unable to locate the ring. By Saturday, feeling disheartened, I reached out to several metal detecting groups on Facebook seeking assistance and advice. A kind individual directed me to https://theringfinders.com/Steve.Wagner/ website, where two local searchers were listed. I sent messages to both, and within minutes, Steve responded and offered to call. During our conversation, he explained that he was approximately an hour away but was willing to travel to assist us that very same day. True to his word, within two hours, Steve arrived at our home ready to help.

While I remained inside with the children, Steve conducted a thorough search of the yard. A short time later, he knocked on our door to update me. He explained the areas he had covered and noted that the length of the grass made the search more difficult, suggesting that mowing could improve future searches. He then casually mentioned finding a “quarter.” I laughed and held out my hand—only for Steve to drop my husband’s wedding ring into my palm.

The flood of emotion I felt in that moment is difficult to put into words: overwhelming relief, profound joy, and immense gratitude. This ring is not merely a piece of jewelry; it is a symbol of deep love, commitment, and countless memories.

We cannot adequately express how thankful we are for Steve’s kindness, professionalism, and dedication. His willingness to travel, his prompt response, and his genuine passion for helping others brought our family an indescribable sense of relief and happiness. It is clear that Steve finds true fulfillment in reuniting people with their most treasured possessions.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Steve. We will be forever grateful.

Sincerely,
The Hastings Family

Thrown wedding band found in Logan Ohio

I received a call from a lady that was needing my help! Here is the story of how she came to needing my services.

On a HOT summer day down in hocking hills at the campground my husband and I had a few too many cold ones at the pool. Later that evening after watching some football and having a few more cold ones my husband of 8 years decided I shut the door a little too aggressively as I was going into our camper to make him a plate of food. The argument escalated into a full on screaming match and I decided I would take my wedding rings off and throw them. The first throw was pretty unsuccessful and before I knew it I saw my rings within sight so I picked up the biggest one and gave it a big ol fling! Jump to the hangover morning after we hopped in the truck and drove half an hour away to buy a metal detector. First time turning it on and it hits, found the wedding band. Continued the search for the engagement ring for as long as we could stand it. Felt like a hamster running on one of those wheels that goes no where! Fast forward to the next weekend and we went back down to camp to look again. Felt the same way, hamster on the wheel! Meanwhile the song by the band Perry ‘you lie’ the part about the wedding ring playing over and over in my head. After a 3rd weekend of an unsuccessful treasure hunt we decided to try professionals to get the job done. After a search online I came across Steve! He lived an hour and half away from our campground but on an evening after work met us down there to take over the hunt. Meanwhile he’s searching I just feel so defeated and thinking about my bad choices. He had me reenact my poor choice and where that ring landed he concentrated the search. We moved a pile of logs used for the fire pit and there it laid. Steve really was a God send and I am so thankful for him coming to help me undo what I had done. I feel complete again instead of thinking about my bad decisions every time I look at my hand. If you are unlucky and need Steve’s help or even if you just make bad choices at times Steve is your guy!

Another lost bracelet found in williamstown West Virginia

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

I received a call from a co-worker asking me if I could help find his mother in law’s gold bracelet.

I met up with Cody at a local boat ramp and he explained that while she was holding a boat steady at the dock,  her bracelet snagged a tie down and broke, then fell into the River. The water level was high, and the water was rough and murky.

It has been a couple days since this had happened, so the water had calmed down and cleared up quit a bit. I had brought a probe with me to get an idea on how high the water would be on me at a couple of areas he thought was where it had fell into the river. While laying on the dock and using the probe I noticed a faint outline of what looked to be a broken bracelet almost completely covered by silt!! Using my probe and carefully trying not to muddy up the waters, I was able the retrieve her bracelet in almost 5’ of water. No metal detectors needed thankfully because the water is getting cold.

Lost gold and diamond bracelet found in Parkersburg

Prospective Clients,
Steve Wagner is the man!!! I had a bracelet pop off my wrist while digging out a skid steer. Piles of dirt everywhere and not a clue where or how deep it was buried. After searching for awhile I had pretty much given up hope. Somebody got me in contact with Steve and I couldn’t be happier. After he arrived, and was explained the situation and the location, he broke out his equipment and got to work. Within 15-20 minutes he had located the missing jewelry. What a relief!!! Steve was one of the nicest guys I’ve met and knew exactly what he was doing!!! Professional, courteous, on time. Would highly recommend to anyone that was in the same predicament as me. Very much appreciated.

Thanks a million,
Brent Bailey

Lost ring while running/swatting at bees in Marietta Ohio

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

While out cutting grass I met an unfriendly family of yellow jackets who had taken up residence in the ground near the side of my house. After receiving a few stings I removed myself from their part of the yard and in the process of escaping I lost my wedding band swatting them away.  The next day I searched the ground using a rake in hopes of stirring up the ring in the grass where I could see it, but gave up after 30 minutes of no luck.

On a long shot I searched online and found Steve’s name as someone who could possibly help find my ring.  After speaking with Steve he agreed to come out to the house a couple of days later to see if he could help increase my odds of finding the ring.  Steve set up his detector, went to work, and in 10 minutes from the time he arrived he had found it covered up in the grass.

I truly cannot thank him enough for finding my ring that I thought was gone forever. If you need similar help you are in good hands with Steve.

Lost wedding band chasing a hog near Beverly Ohio

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

I live on a 4 acre farm. My husband and I have a huge 500 pound hog. One sunny warm day in the beginning of June, I was out enjoying the pool with my son and nephew. I heard my husband yell for me so I hopped out of the pool to see what he wanted. Turns out the 500 pound hog had broke out of his field and was chasing my niece around the yard. Mind you, he thinks he’s a ginormous puppy dog and just wanted her attention. I went running down the hillside to help get him back into his field and felt my wedding band slide off of my finger. We all searched and searched for it and never could find it. My son is really great at finding things in the weeds but he couldn’t even find it. On July 22nd, I asked Steve Wagner to come out and see if he could find it with his metal detector. Within about 45 minutes of looking, Steve had recovered my ring! Apparently it had been through the ringer so to speak, ran over with the lawn mower, trampled on by kids and chickens. I thought I wouldn’t see it again. And the enjoyment Steve got out of finding it was definitely amazing. Thank you Steve for finding my wedding band and taking your time and energy to come look for it. You are very much appreciated ☺️ And I’d say if anyone loses anything they’d like to have recovered, Steve is the man for the job.

Lost wedding band 4 years ago near Malta Ohio

  • from Marietta (Ohio, United States)

So I had seen a post from Cassie on Facebook about this guy who found her wedding ring when she lost it at the fairgrounds and I asked her about him.

I lost my wedding ring while my husband and I were out mowing. I had taken my rings off and sat them on our porch. My husband, not knowing, had laid his shirt over top of them and when he grabbed his shirt, my rings went flying. I only found my engagement ring and couldn’t find my wedding band. My husband and I got a medal detector and he searched our hillside with no luck so my husband bought me another wedding band. Steve had seen that I was interested and he contacted me. My husband and I thought it was a lost cause because it had been 4 years! He was here close to 5:00 and left close to 8. He looked 2 and a half hours in the rain and our nasty steep hill and finally found it, along with at least 20 bullet casings. Now I have three rings instead of two and it’s more sentimental because I have my original wedding band! 🔥 I can’t thank you enough Steve Wagner!! If you have some valuable jewelry that you’ve lost, please contact him. You won’t regret it!

Anniversary band lost at fairground in McConnelsville Ohio

Lost 10 year anniversary band

On May 13th, 2023 I lost my ten year anniversary band  at the Morgan county fairgrounds. This day was crowded with people for the Mother’s Day flea market that they were holding and the demolition derby was being held as well this evening. I didn’t notice I had lost my ring until we were headed back to our parked car and I had sat down. I kept track of what I did and where I parked to check. That evening, we searched the area along with a metal detector in the grassy areas where we had been watching the last part of the demo. Then we thought I might have dropped it in the bathroom, but it was locked so no luck. So for one last measure I made a post on Facebook, thinking it’s a high traffic area and someone might have seen it or maybe even took it sadly. I was contacted by a friend telling me there was this guy by the name of Steve Wagner that could help me and she had faith that he could. She explained he found her sister’s necklace that had been lost for awhile at a park, so I reached out to him and he was able to start searching on 06/25 and it took him just around an hour to find it!! So thankful, always!
