💍 The Best Cheering Squad a Metal Detectorist Could Ask For! 💍
This may have been one of the most fun ring recoveries I’ve ever been a part of!
I was contacted by Mitch after his son lost his ring somewhere in their backyard. He had placed the ring in his shirt pocket for safekeeping while playing T-ball with his two daughters. Unfortunately, sometime while they were playing, the ring slipped out and disappeared into the grass.
When I arrived, we talked through where everyone had been and came up with a search area. Then it was time to start gridding the yard.
And I definitely wasn’t searching alone! 🙌
Mitch was right there helping me mark the grid as I worked my way back and forth across the yard, making sure we covered every section. Maria stayed outside the entire time, watching and waiting with anticipation for that one signal we were all hoping for.
They were completely invested in the hunt and quickly became my personal cheering squad! 📣 Every pass through the yard felt like we were all searching together.
And then…
🎯 There it was!
The ring was finally located hiding in the grass!
The excitement when I pulled it out was awesome. Mitch and Maria were thrilled, I was thrilled, and the whole recovery just had such a great vibe from beginning to end.
Sometimes the best part of metal detecting isn’t just finding what was lost. It’s getting to share that moment with the people who thought it might be gone forever.
💍 Ring found. Mission accomplished. And one seriously fun hunt!
