lost ring in Oklahoma City

  • from Oklahoma City (Oklahoma, United States)

I received a call from a lady that had lost their ring while cleaning and repotting some plants. We scheduled a time to meet. There were a couple of places she said it could have been – in the yard where she had dumped the water from the pots, the trash were all the dead plant materials went or the pots with the new plants.  She said she had dumped out the newly potted plants and went through the dirt already so I concentrated on the area where the water and muck was dumped.  After not being able to find anything there I started in on the newly potted plant pot. I got a very faint signal so I put my pinpointer in the pot and there it was! It was just under 1/2 inch of soil.  Great day to help!

ring found in OKlahoma city area before chickens got it!

I was contacted by a gentleman that stated his mother had been out recently to visit.  She had taken one of the grandkids outside to feed the chickens and ducks.  After being out she noticed her wedding ring was missing.  Now she didn’t know if she lost it outside or on the trip out to visit.  This turned out to be a very short search as it was right in the middle of the yard in the only area of taller grass.  The son said it had belonged to his great grandmother who had it in her wedding in around 1914! It started off life as being silver but sometime along the way they added a gold layer on top with cut outs showing the silver underneath.  A very beautiful design.  Happy to be able to help!

fastest ring find yet!

This was the fastest ring find yet. A nice gentleman called about a ring he lost while raking leaves in the yard. He showed me a spot where he had raked up the leaves that was grass with a light layer of dirt from the raking was – I ran the detector over and found it in the first pass. Feels good to be able to help!

lost rings in Midwest City Oklahoma

Fourth of July was all about fun with the kids and hanging out on the front yard! The homeowners had taken off their rings and laid them down but the kids thought it would be fun to « play » with them.  I got the call the next day.  The weather had been hot and the grass was short but they still couldn’t find them.  It took a whole 5 minutes to find them both!

Got a call from a gentleman who had been enjoying a nice day in friend’s backyard tossing around the football.  The ring flung off his hand and they had spent the last few hours trying to find it with no luck.  I was able to go there the next day but he had to work.  It took around 20 minutes but it was found!

lost/found ring in Norman Oklahoma

I had a gentlemen email me the other day about a ring he lost.  We scheduled a time for yesterday.  He told me he was doing yard work and at the end of the day he couldn’t find it.  It’s a typical thing for winter – there’s only so much time during the day that’s warm enough and light enough to get anything done so you rush around and don’t notice that the cooler temperatures have shrunk your finger.  Rings fall off and you now you have piles of debris to look through.  Perfect for a metal detector to help you out.

Got a call from a gentlemen who lost his ring in the front yard and had no luck finding it.  Was able to meet up within 1/2 hour and after a brief explanation of what happened I got to work.  In just 5 min I was able to locate the ring!  The gentlemen was on the front porch and flipped his hand and heard the ring hit the porch roof and ping off the porch railings to hit the ground.  When I found it it was already flush with the dirt most probably from being stepped on while being searched for.  The gentlemen told me he had only been married 3 days and knew it was a little loose so this just made it all the more urgent to get it resized!

hand me down in Edmond Oklahoma

Got a call from a lady whose daughter had lost a ring in the yard.  The woman had received the ring when she was a child and cherished it for years and had recently passed it on to her young daughter.  The daughter was playing in the sprinklers in the front yard and came running in when momma called – Her daughter flung her hands in the air and immediately felt the ring fly off.  The parents spent many hours looking through the tall grass without success.  I was happy to come by and look.  She described it as a very small gold ring.  Well, it was the smallest ring I’ve ever seen!  Gold rings aren’t always easy to find as they show up as the either the pull tab off a drink can or a piece of foil like from a gum wrapper.  This ring rang up as barely a 1 (from 1-100 on my machine) and barely made a slight fuzzy sound but I looked down and saw a slight glimmer – there it was!  So happy to have been able to reunite the ring to the woman.  Sorry, the picture it so blurry but it was so small and the lighting was not the best.

Another ring eaten by the volleyball courts!

  • from Oklahoma City (Oklahoma, United States)

It was meant to be – I was doing some work in Choctaw Oklahoma Friday and received a call from a gentleman that stated he had lost his wedding ring in a volleyball court a few days ago and could I help. I asked him where the court was, hoping it wasn’t a public area, and he stated that it was in Choctaw at a friends house. Wow! I was there in 5 minutes and found the ring in less than 10 minutes! He couldn’t be there at the time but the homeowner had let me search. I called the gentleman back to let him know I found it but I was needing to get back to my home in south Oklahoma City and he stated that he lived South also. Turns out he lives only 1 mile from me! It was meant to be indeed!

Christmas lights vs ring!

  • from Oklahoma City (Oklahoma, United States)

Christmas lights vs ring! Although we don’t get much snow it does get pretty cold. I received a message from a gentleman in Edmond Oklahoma who needed some help. We arranged to meet in the next day that it was over freezing and the wind was less than 25 MPH. He showed me where he had been taking down his lights. He went all out this year and had them in all sides of the house, the trees and the fences. I was afraid it would take awhile to go through all the areas but luck was with me and I found it in less than 5 minutes! He was amazed as he had borrowed a couple of detectors from friends and tried himself.
