Gold Necklace Recovered Metal Detecting Scuba Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Nadia was out swimming at a local beach with friends. One of her friends suggested she take off her gold necklace before she loses it. She agreed and took it off when it suddenly slipped out of her hand and disappeared into 4 feet of water. Her and her friends dove down for over an hour and couldn’t find it. This necklace was very sentimental to her. It was given to her by her Father just a couple weeks prior. It had initially belonged to Nadia’s Grandmother who had recently passed away. She had a tough time telling her Dad, though he just suggested doing a search for someone who might be able to help. Nadia searched the internet and found theringfinders.com and gave me a call the next day. We set up a day/time to meet and started the search. As I walked out into the water, Nadia told me where to stop and start my scuba search. The very first swing I got a nice hit on my Excalibur metal detector. There it was, a glistening gold necklace. I thought to myself, this is the quickest recovery of my life. I walked up to the shallows and handed it to her, she said, that’s not it. What? I couldn’t believe it, what are the chances? So, I went back in and after pulling out 30 to 40 other targets, I finally recovered Nadia’s necklace.

Glad I could help out Nadia!!

Lost Wedding Ring Recovered Metal Detecting Minnesota Scuba Diving

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Serena went to a local « swim pond » with her family and some friends. While out in approx. 4 feet of water, a friend threw a ball to her. When she tried to catch it, her ring popped off her finger and she watched it drop into the water. They all searched and couldn’t find it. Serena asked the life guards for help and what she should do. They couldn’t help, so she went online and found theringfinders.com and reached out to me. Metal detecting is not allowed on beaches managed by Three Rivers Park District and I’m very familiar with their rules & policies.  I called a board member of the park and explained the situation. She reached out to the district manager and they approved for me to go in and scuba dive / detect for her ring. Serena knew exactly where she was standing when the ring came off and she pointed out the area to me. It only took a minute or two to recover her ring.

Nice to meet you Serena and truly happy I could help you out.

Congrats –
