« Crystal » was here at Seaside beach , near Monterey, yesterday. When putting on suntan lotion, she had taken off her wedding ring. Then made movements around her beach tent zone before she went to put it back on. And so the ring was somewhere around her tent, obscured from view by the swallowing power of the sand. White gold with diamonds, that she’d worn for 17 yrs.

My family and I spent the day at Sand City near the sand dunes on West Bay Street. I took my wedding ring off and placed it on my lap to apply sunscreen.
