Lost Ring Found & Returned – Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe
Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, October 4, 2026: Lost Ring Found and Returned by metal detector specialist—Trevor Oxborrow.
8:40am this morning: I was contacted by Tracy who requested a lost ring search at Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe. On the previous afternoon, Tracy’s friend Lise was swimming just south of the boat ramp, when she noticed her extremely sentimental—late Father’s Wedding Ring—was missing from her finger. All three friends, (Tracy, Jen & Lise), immediately searched for the ring. In about four to five feet of water, they saw the ring’s edge slightly visible in the soft loose sand. As they dove to retrieve it, the ring disappeared into the sandy lake bottom. Obviously they searched and did everything they could to find it, with no success.
Fast forward to 10:30am this morning, I arrived at the location. Tracy, Jen and Lise were there to help me locate the search area. They had precisely marked the area onshore and underwater.
I began searching.
One pull-tab…..another pull-tab…..a metal wire twist-tie…..then a solid, repeatable 72 on my deus2.
All three friends were equally happy to see Lise’s Father’s Ring back where it belongs.
