Nichole called me about her wedding ring of 33 years that went missing. She was at the gym and like many times before put her ring in her sports bra while doing dead lifts and then finished up her lifting. Later at home she decided to do some garden work which involved all sorts of things. We walked the acreage and I got a good idea of the area she worked in. She didn’t realize she didn’t have her ring on till after she was done with her shower after all the outside work. She had talked with the gym managers and went back and look for it. These searches are difficult but by talking through all the details and using my experience, we put together a game plan. Since she had put the ring there before and it wasn’t lost I was betting that it made it home. She was going to search a few areas including her car again and the house while I worked the outside. 3 hours later in the last 100 square feet of area to search it happened.

I received a call about a worker who lost his ring while digging and working around some irrigation pipes. The boss took me out to the area and I started to get to work. This could have been a much dirtier job and was thankful that my experience helped me find it fairly quickly. I gave the boss the ring and he picked out a hot pink Lincoln Ring Finder shirt that he feels the employee is due him for losing his ring.

Jeff lost his wedding ring of 43 years while doing yard work. We talked about the activities he did and I begin to search. Immediately I was in a battle with EMI, produced by utilities and invisible fence for the dogs. Neither were able to be turned off so I needed to find away through it. I found that if I used the single 40khz on the Manticore that it would eliminate most of it. As luck would have it next to the phone, broadband and cable boxes where he had done some work, I had to resort to a smaller pinpointer and my knees. Boom, we finally had it. This was definitely a difficult search because of the EMI. I was so honored to be able to help Jeff out.

Sue was sitting in her back yard in her wheelchair watching her neice do some spring cleaning. As she sat there she realized her wedding ring of 57 years was not on her finger. Her husband passed a couple years ago and this ring was a constant reminder of the years they shared. For 3 days she looked around the house trying to find it with no success. She finally got on the internet and found The Ring Finders and gave me a call. After talking with her I decided to drop by her place and take a look around. We talked about her recent activities and I felt the yard was the best place to start. The rest is history. Its a short video but you can see how much she cherished the ring. It was an honor to recover it for her. I love my job.

It happens, rings get thrown sometimes when stress is high. I was asked to see if I could find the last ring of four that were thrown. It was small and thin because it had diamonds all the way around. It was my pleasure to help this couple get this back. My only job is to find out where it went and to recover it. If you find yourself in a similar situation don’t hesitate to call for help.

Alcortas elementary aged son took her rings from her holder and took them to school. We all did crazy things for crazy reasons when we were his age. During recess he lost one of the rings while on a merry go round. He saw it on the wood chips and stuck it back in his pocket and continued to play. Later he checked his pocket and the ring was gone. A few days later he told his sister and she encouraged him to tell mom. Alcorta looked for it but didn’t find it. She reached out and I said I would come search for it, this was a week after it was lost. I scanned the known play area finding lots of interesting things but no ring. I encouraged her to contact the school and teachers to let the kids know that a ring that means the world to her had been lost in the play area and to encourage the kids to do the right thing and give it to a teacher if they found it. A few weeks went by, I texted Alcorta a couple times to see if the story had changed at all and if there was any new areas of interest to search while encouraging her not to give up hope. Another couple weeks went by and then Alcorta got a call from the school saying a student had found the ring and turned it in. We aren’t clear as to when or where they found it but Alcorta has a smile and her son I think has learned something.
