Wedding set recovered in Asbury Park NJ

Recovery in Asbury Park NJ Dennis Burlingame. 908 489 2371, Got a call from Tina asking for help in finding her wedding set she lost on Asbury Park beach. Told her I’d be there as soon as possible. She met me at the beach entrance and took me where she was sitting. Seems while enjoying the day at the beach she took off her rings and placed them in her husbands hat while putting lotion on her daughter’s, but didnt let her husband know they were there. He went to put his hat on and the rings through out into the sand. I search an area they thought they might of landed but didnt hear them. I moved under the tent they had set up and got my first signal and out came ring number 1 just behind her husbands chair. Had her move the chair and found the second one under where his chair was sitting. She couldnt believe how quick I found them. A great happy ending to what could of been a sad day.

Tiffany bracelet recovered in Avon NJ

  • Avon NJ. Got a call about a lost Tiffany bracelet lost on Avon beach. Nancy was enjoying the day at the beach when she took off her bracelet that her father gave her years ago and went to put it in her beach bag but didn’t know she missed the pocket and it fell into the sand. When she got home and saw it was gone she went back to the beach butcouldnt find it. 2 days went by till her friend told her of our service, thats when she called. I met her at the beach and detected the area where she thought she was sitting but didn’t find her bracelet. We figured it might of been found already and called off the search. I could see her tearing up thinking she lost it forever and felt really bad for her. I thought about it the next day at work and knew how much it ment to her and felt the need to go back after work and try again, this time expanding the area thinking she wasn’t sure where she was. Starting 20 out from where I ended the day before I started working toward where I ended the last search. 4 passes in I was looking down while detecting and happened to see part of the bracelet sticking out of the sand and couldnt believe I found it. I called her and gave her the good news and she was so grateful I didn’t give up and went back to look again. This one was really a happy ending for the both of us.

Wedding band recovered at Long Branch

Got a text about a lost ring in Long Branch NJ. After calling Anthony, I agreed to meet him at the beach. Anthony met me at the entrance of the beach and took me down to where ring was lost. He said he was playing volleyball when the ring flew off his finger. He stated he and his friends searched for an hour with no luck. I started searching the area with no luck. So I started a grid search and after a few passes I got the signal I was hoping for and sure enough there was his ring at the edge of the search area. Anthony was so happy to have his ring back on his finger where it belongs. Another happy ending.

Lost ring in snow at Ocean Grove NJ

Got a text about a lost ring in Ocean Grove. It’s the first major snow in New Jersey and Jaquelyn and her friends wanted to see the ocean during the snow. When getting back to her car she was brushing the snow off and felt her ring fly off her finger. She looked but couldnt find it. I told her id be there within a half hour ( I haven’t even cleared my car and sidewalk off yet ). When I got there I saw a metal detector laying on the ground, it seems a local girl Emma was detecting the beach ( in a snow storm ) and came across Jaquelyn but couldnt help, her battery went dead detecting. They had already moved the car from where it was park trying to look for it, but showed me the area where the ring should be. I started detecting and on the second target I heard, there was her ring buried in the snow. The smile of joy on everyone’s faces was the best feeling, knowing she got her beloved ring back on her finger.

Diamond stud earring recovered in Parlin NJ

Got a text from Kim asking if I could help locate her earring she lost while raking leaves in her back yard. I told her I could stop over after work the next day. I drove over to meet her and she showed me where she thought she lost it. She blew herself off with the leaf blower so I started my search in that area. Really it could be anywhere in the back yard so I just started a grid back and forth. Not having any luck she mentioned and area where she was bending over to pick up leaves and I moved to that area. In my forth pass back and forth I got the tone and number ID on the detector I was hoping for and sure enough there was her earring in between the blades of grass. She was in her garage and I turned off my detector and walked over to her and said I think we’re fighting a loosing battle, she lowered her head but then I opened my hand and showed her her earring, and after a couple of choice names she called me a big smile of disbelief that I was able to find it came across her face. Another happy ending and a greatful lady.

Got a text from Victor asking for help in finding 2 lost rings in Asbury. He had already driven home so he gave me the best information he could about where the rings might be. He had put them in the pouch on his beach chair and forgot about them. He thinks they fell out when he folded the chair to leave the beach. I went down and searched the area for acouple of hours with no luck. While down there a fellow detectorists I now came up and we were talking and I explained what I was looking for. I called it a night with no luck. While I was home the other guy called me and told me he found 1 of the rings. I got in my car and drove back to the beach to meet him. He only found the 1. It was no where near where I had searched before. I got up early the next morning and started searching the new area. About an hour into the search I found Victor’s wedding band. Glasses recovered at Shark River Marina

While at work I got a call from a past employee Patty asking if my detector can find eye glasses in a metal frame. I told her it could and she asked for help. Turns out her husband while docking a boat slipped and fell into the water off the dock and his glasses flew off his face into the water. I had at first told her I’d meet her Saturday for low tide but I had a break coming up at work and it was already low tide so we agreed to meet in a half hour. I ran home and threw on a bathing suit and got my detector and headed to the marina. She showed me where he went into the water and it wasnt deep but the bottom was covered in seaweed. I decided not to use my scoop so not to damage his glasses. First signal turned out to be nothing and I moved to the side towards the boat and got another good signal reached down and felt around in the seaweed and felt his glasses. I untangled them from the seaweed and held them up and they were so happy to get them back. Her husband can see clear again and I saved him from having to get a new pair. A great ending to another recovery. Ran back home for a quick shower and back to work. Glad I could help
