I was recently contacted by a client in Omaha, Nebraska who had lost his keys while working on a pipe installation project. The search area covered roughly 20 feet, and to make things more difficult, the keys had been buried under fresh mulch that had been spread earlier that day.
Before reaching out, he had already spent over 2 hours searching and digging with no success. At that point, he decided to call in a professional.
Because the keys were made of multiple types of metal and were partially buried under mulch, the detector did not produce a single clean signal. Instead, it gave broken, inconsistent readings that required careful, slow investigation of the area.
After about 45 minutes of patient, methodical searching, I was able to isolate the target and recover the missing keys, even with the added challenge of the mulch layer.
The relief on his face said it all—what started as a frustrating situation quickly turned into a successful recovery.
If you’ve lost keys, a ring, or any valuable metal item in Omaha or the surrounding areas, don’t hesitate to reach out. With the right equipment, experience, and persistence, many lost items can be recovered quickly and efficiently.
