A Lost Engagement Ring Found, San Carlos Park/Ft Myers, Florida 11.2.2016

 

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of getting a call from someone who has lost something truly precious, especially an engagement ring filled with memories and sentimental value. As a member of The Ring Finders, I grabbed my metal detector and headed out to search a backyard where the ring had gone missing in the grass. Knowing how much this ring meant to its owner, I carefully began working the area, slowly sweeping my detector back and forth, listening for that unmistakable signal that could lead to something special.

 

Then, suddenly, my detector gave off a strong, repeatable signal in the grass. I swung over the spot a few more times to pinpoint the target. There was no mistaking it now! I got down on my knees, carefully parted the grass, and began checking the soil. Within moments, a familiar sparkle caught my eye. There it was! The missing engagement ring, lying in the grass where it had gone unnoticed. I held it up, knowing that somewhere nearby was someone who was about to have a very special day. What had been a stressful and disappointing experience was suddenly turning into a moment of excitement and disbelief.

 

Being able to reunite someone with a lost engagement ring is one of the most rewarding parts of being a member of The Ring Finders. It’s about much more than metal detecting; it’s about bringing back memories, restoring smiles, and giving people a happy ending when they least expect it. Another lost ring found, another smile restored, and another reminder of why I love doing what I do!
