« My wife tossed her wedding ring into a patch of vines, leaves and brush. Really dense. I have a detector, but was only able to uncover a few cans and a Capri Sun. I am afraid this might be beyond your scope or perhaps you are up for a challenge. I am confident that its in this area (marin/tiburon) neighborhood. If you are interested, what is the typical reward offered and when are you available. I can send pics to give you a better idea of what we are dealing with.

I’m feeling desperate and my wife is heartbroken. The ring may not be worth a ton of money, but has sentimental value of course…and is not insured (my fault)…so of course I’m getting desperate.
Please let me know or maybe you know of someone that might be able to help. Thank you so much! »

The photos didn’t look promising. This is where he had been searching with his own detector, tearing out a lot of the ivy to find the ring:
But I had faith in my Garrett AT Pro detector, and found the ring in 7 minutes, inches from the curb, buried in the dirt. The ring had skipped along the pavement and bounced into the ivy. After over 2 months, and probably being stepped on, it had worked it’s way down into the soil under the ivy.
Beautiful, classic antique style, 1 carat, high clarity and color, old cut, cushion shaped solitaire diamond, with two rows of intricately hand set pave diamonds set around the top, and down the sides. The ring was custom designed by her father and made by his friend, both deceased.
Marshall, he wrote, « I can’t thank you enough for your prompt and professional service and for probably saving our marriage! »  Another marriage preserved, hopefully as durable as her ring!

Diamond Engagement Ring Lost for 10 Years Recovered in Novato, CA 94947

In 2003 she threw this ring into the street from her front yard but found it the next day. In 2004 she threw this ring into her back yard and forgot about it, the marriage was really over! I was called to assist in locating an entirely different engagement ring recently lost inside her home by her new Labrador puppy. I was unable to assist that recovery, no new clues after the owner had had the dog x-rayed, turned her house upside down several times and sifted every new puppy feces by hand. That ring has vanished in the house. carolyn shirlock large edited small But while sweeping the backyard dog run and plant beds, I unearthed this dirty little golden clod that cleaned up into this stunning .7 caret solitaire diamond, surrounded by swirls of smaller round cut, channel set diamonds in a heavy 14k setting. Undamaged and in perfect condition after ten years in the ground, the delighted owner was so amazed see this again! carolyn shirlock diamond ring cu small
