Morgan was enjoying a Labor day holiday at Vala’s pumpkin patch. This place is big with lots of activities for everyone. One of the attractions is a corn pit. This is 2 foot deep of corn, similar to a sandbox but in the great corn state of Nebraska. While playing with her nephews she looked down and saw both her wedding and engagement rings were not on her finger. She never felt them come off and had never had an issue with them before. Devastated she thought they must be in the corn. Her family spent an hour looking and eventually they were able to find the beautiful engagement ring. The gold color blended in with the corn but the bright emeralds help them find it. The wedding band, alot smaller still eluded them. As time grew short the feeling of loss grew greater. Later at home she posted about her loss on social media, asking for people to keep an eye out for it if they visited there. Her friends quickly shared her post, eventually someone who knew of the ring finders got in touch with me. Luckily the corn pit hadn’t had any visitors for a few days but soon 100’s of kids would be enjoying it, working the ring deep. I knew I had to get out there before the rush of kids. After work I headed out and a worker at Vala’s took me to the pit. Well the rest is history.
