Some recoveries come right down to the wire, and this was definitely one of them.
We received a call from a woman who had lost her gold ring while spending the day with her infant son at Noe Pond Club in Chatham, NJ.
While enjoying the water, she felt the ring start to slide off her finger. She was able to catch it, adjust it, and put it back on, thinking the problem was solved.
Unfortunately, sometime later, the ring slipped off for good and disappeared into the sandy bottom of the pond.
That’s when Greenwood Detecting got the call. 📞
About 30 minutes later, we were on site, and she walked us through exactly where she had been in the water. The search area was surprisingly well defined, so we got right to work. 🔎🌊
One thing became obvious pretty quickly… this part of the pond had ever seen a metal detector before! 😄
Before we ever found the ring, we had already recovered more than $2 in change from the sandy bottom. 🪙💰
Then the clock started working against us.
The final horn sounded, signaling that the pond was closing for the day. We knew we were down to our last
few chances.

That bright gold ring was sitting in the scoop, shining back at us.
