Not always gold.
Received a call today, set of important keys lost over 2 weeks ago, snow plows have come through and piled the snow at the end of the lot.
Once I saw the snow mound (over 4′ high) my immediate reaction was to let it melt for a few more days and come back.
After second thought as long as I was there I told him I would at least skim over the top to see if it is shallow enough to detect.
After a few minutes I hit well over a foot down but so luckily as it could have been in the middle and totally undetectable.

Lost earring found in Chicago Il garden

Just didn’t ask enough questions.
Received a call for a woman that said she lost an earring in her garden.
Normally a garden search is pretty quick and easy, what I failed to realize is she is a horticulturist that maintains a garden for a housing complex that is about a half a block long.
I like a challenge and that sure presented one, there was a lot of « don’t step there, and don’t step there.
Thankfully I am used to hearing that when walking around my wife’s garden.
After about an hour of tiptoeing I got lucky and hit it.
Happy ending.
