GOOD NEWS STORY OF THE DAY!!
Last night while playing kickball in the front yard as the sun was going down, my necklace snapped while running to 3rd base 🤣 – sending my family diamond somewhere in the grass. After hours of searching by flashlight with my husband, we resigned ourselves that it was gone. It was an accident and it is what it is.
I couldn’t fall asleep and started to Google about metal detectors while I stumbled upon Ron Shore,  After a quick text at 10:30 pm, we scheduled an appointment to have him come look for it this morning.
He gridded the yard and began his search. After 3 hours, he knelt down in the grass with his phone. I rushed outside!
💎 HE FOUND THE DIAMOND!!! 💎
I cannot recommend Ron enough. He was kind, thorough and very professional. Highly recommend if you lose anything!!!

heirloom earring found in Lake Forest

Received a call from a friend of an older woman in Lake Forest that lost a gold heirloom earring and was sick about it.
Set up meeting for next morning but within an hour received a call from the woman that lost it, sounding desperate and crying, pleaded with me to come that day.
I had a few appointments, which I was able to reschedule and get out there.
Once I arrived and talking with, her seemed she was really not sure where it was lost, either in a car the driveway or in the house.
I was hoping I would find it in the car or driveway as the house is one of the older Lake Forest mansions, which would be quite a job to say the least.
After about an hour and a half of searching out side and in the car looked like I had no choice but to go inside.
Got good news when she told me she was only in 2 of the rooms when she realized it was missing, the kitchen and her bedroom.
I went to the bedroom first and did not have any luck, she then mentioned she used to the washroom besides the other rooms.
When I asked if it was ok to get in there she said she had a sick cat so rather I did not. I am not sure what pushed me to insist on going in but she eventually agreed as long as I did not let the cat out.
When I went in I leaned over to pet the cat and guess what, sure enough it was right next to the cat, almost like she was guarding it.
When I say you never know, believe me you never really know, just cannot rule out anything in these types of searches, anyway most importantly a happy ending.

A beautiful search!

Received a call from a gentleman that lost his wedding ring while crossing a rope bridge at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle.

While crossing the bridge the ring slipped off and fortunately found it pretty quickly hiding in the mulch below.

Happy ending, except I did not want to leave, what a beautiful place to enjoy the autumn colors.

Received a call from Rolling Meadows, lost 2 gold pendants while taking off his sweater. He found the chain but nothing else. He marked the spot where he found the chain. After about 2 hours of searching I finally found them about 30′ from where he found the chain. Always baffles me how things are found so from from the spot where I’m told that were lost, just can’t give up.

HAPPY ENDING!!!

Cartier Platinum Diamond engagement ring found in Elmhurst

 November 28

Received a call from a couple in Elmhurst.

Lost her Cartier Platinum Diamond engagement ring while raking leaves. Not sure exactly where in the yard. They kept about 10 bags of leaves in case it got into there.

They purchased a metal detector from Amazon and searched all day with no luck and decided to give me a call.

It was a sizeable yard so I thought this would be a long search especially since I would have to go through all those bags. I decided to check the yard first and leave the bags for last.

after about an hour I got lucky and hit it, it was under a small bush and totally out of sight.  Could not get into the bush as it was much to thick but fortunately it was not that tall and my detector hit it while I ran it over the bush.

Her tears of joy once I showed it to her were simply beautiful!

Happy ending.

Received a call to search for a lost platinum wedding ring lost in yard while playing with his dog. Turned out to be a fairly easy search and found it in about 15min.

I appreciate the review below left by the owner Adam.

I’m not one to write reviews but Ron pulled off a miracle today and found my ring in our backyard. We thought it was gone. Ron was incredible. Showed up same day, very nice and professional, and found the ring with his equipment in 15-20 minutes. Highly recommended!!

Lost Ring in Carol Stream, Illinois.

Failure was not an option!
Over the years doing so many recoveries, I have heard so many stories, and once in a while one story stands out and tugs at you a little more, this is one of those stories.
I received a call from a woman in Carol Stream back in January.
She told me her husband had just passed away a few weeks earlier and he lost his gold wedding ring about 3 to 5 years ago in the garden.
She wanted desperately to get it back.
Problem I had was the ground was frozen and being lost for such a long time I was expecting it be be at lease a couple inches down.
I told her I would come back as soon as the ground is not frozen anymore and today was that day.
I searched 2 areas in front of the house she told me he was working at when he lost it with no success, but this is a search I could not give up on so I decided to go into the back yard, I was taken back at the size of the yard and thought for sure I would be there most of the day, double lot and at lease 200ft deep so I started thinking like a man, what would I have done?
I saw a picnic table in the yard, I could easily see him possibly taking off his gloves and taking a break at the table, something I’m sure I would have done. A couple minutes later I hit it at the edge of the table, can’t even begin to tell you the feeling I got when I saw it. The entire search took about an hour and to say she was ecstatic is putting it mildly, she held that ring so tight and kissed it over and over, so very touching.
A very HAPPY ending!!!

Got a call last night, lost a wedding ring at Gillson Beach in Wilmette while playing ball in the water.
Weather conditions would not allow me to hunt that night so went this morning.
Searching the water is always tricky as it’s hard to be sure exactly where it was lost, however after about 2 hours hit it.
Happy camper
