Lost Gold Necklace Recovered Minnesota Metal Detecting

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Sam gave me a call and was wondering if theringfinders.com could help out when losing a gold necklace in 10 – 20 feet deep water, with a bunch of weeds and muck at the bottom. I said of course, we always give it our best shot no matter what. As most detectorists know, necklaces are very hard to find with a metal detector. Necklaces are thin and for some reason, they don’t register at all or are very faint. Sam knew the area he lost it in and he put me in a 25′ X 25′ area with a drop off from 8′ to 20′ deep. I made a plan to clean every piece of metal out of that area and then try to find the gold chain. It took me roughly one and half hours to clean it out and then I started my search. With no hits on the detector for 20 minutes, I received a faint hit. I went back over the area with my Excalibur detector and figured it was not just a false hit « we get a lot of false hits metal detecting. » I started to push my coil further down into the muck and zeroed in on the hit. After a little digging I felt something different in my hand than muck and weeds, I waved my hand in front of my detector and heard that nice deep tone of gold.  Another success story, which I love to write!!!!

Congrats on the necklace Sam, I know how important it is to you.

Minnesota Lost ring found metal detecting

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Frankie was out taking photos in a large field near a local airport. While shooting photos, somehow her gold ring fell off her finger. Too make it a little worse, it was her Mother’s ring. She found my contact information on the ring finders website and we met at the airport the next day. We searched an area for about a half hour when Frankie noticed the pictures she had taken were marked with GPS coordinates. We were searching about 100 yards to the east of the GPS marked point. I followed her as she walked to the exact point the GPS guided her to, and I found the ring within 15 feet of the marked spot. I’ve done plenty of research on how close these coordinates are to the exact location, and even the manufacturer says within 50 yards in any direction. Luckily these were spot on . Congrats Frankie, glad I could help out.

Lost Necklace recovered Minnesota Lake – FOUND

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

I received a call from Joan about a lost Gold Necklace off a fishing dock in Minnesota. The following was written by Joan:

I got this Gold chain for my baby Godiva’s 2nd birthday last year. Unfortunately for me, I went to fish at a lake in Chanhassen and it dropped into the water. I was so stressed and feeling terrible. I contacted the local scuba shop and talked to Scott who could not find it. He recommended Darrin from the ring finders and said that Darrin was a good man and indeed you are. You brought a smile to me and my Princess for finding this Gold Chain. We will forever remember you for your good job and honesty. I will recommend you to everyone. Thanks so much Darrin.

So glad I could help Joan, it was a pleasure and it makes me happy to bring a smile to you and your daughter’s face!
