Rose Gold Diamond Ring Recovered at Southshore Bay Lagoon Ruskin
Item recovered March 22, 2025.
Katie was enjoying a visit to the Southshore Bay Lagoon with her family in March. It was a warm day and she took off her ring and put it in her shirt pocket to apply sunscreen to her children before they went into the pool.
As soon as she was done applying the sunscreen, they realized they were at the wrong set of chairs and needed to move to the chairs to the right, so they gathered their belongings and moved 10-15 feet away.
After awhile, Katie realized the ring was no longer in her shirt pocket. She searched the sand the best she could, but couldn’t find her ring anywhere.
I set up a time to meet with Katie back at the Lagoon the next day so she could show me where they were sitting. We arrived early in the morning to search before the place became packed with people.I searched their first location around the table and chairs and found a number of various coins, but no ring. As I moved toward the new location, I hit a very nice sounding target. I retrieved the target with one scoop and knew right away it was the one we were looking for!
