LOST GOLD & DIAMOND RING FOUND & RETURNED IN MALIBU.

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

Sam and Emily frantically called me last week to ask if I could help them find a gold ring with diamonds that Emily had lost in the sand at the beach in Malibu. I was about 70 miles away but I went home after work grabbed my detectors and hit the road. It took almost two hours to get through down town Los Angeles, and out to the west side then up to Malibu where it was already dark out, I met Sam on Pacific Coast Highway and headed down to the sand. When I spoke to Emily she explained that they were visiting from Florida, and would be leaving Southern California in a few days.

I gridded the sand at waters edge for about 10 minutes before getting a solid signal and there was Emily’s ring in my scoop. She was ecstatic to have her ring back on her hand. The long drive home wasn’t so bad after being able to help such a nice young couple.

LOST DIAMOND RING AT CRYSTAL COVE IN NEWPORT BEACH FOUND AND RETURNED

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

Deana called me late Saturday night and left a message, she said she lost her grandmother’s ring at Crystal Cove, and was devastated. I woke up early and heard the message, headed to the beach before I could get ahold of her. I arrived at the beach close by and heard back from her at 6:00 am. We agreed to meet there in about 20 minutes. When she got there, I told her that a big part of finding her ring was detective work. I explained that we need to retrace her steps from the Beach Combers Restaurant to the  pathway leading to the stairway, and then all the way up. When we got to the top, Deana sat on the bench to rest, she told me she did the same thing the night before. I said that this should be where we focus on the search. Just then, we both looked down and saw her ring in the dirt next to the bench. she was filled with emotion and happiness to have her grandmother’s ring back on her hand. What a great summer day! It was a pleasure to help Deana who was very grateful.
